Faith and Nilin both deserve more, and Mirror's Edge is much better and more fondly remembered than Remember Me (ironic given the title).

@@lets_go_gamingRLIf you haven’t already you should give the first game a chance. It is far superior, unfortunately Mirrors Edge 2 was a let down for many of the original fans.. but I wouldn’t mind a third installment as an attempt to revive the series and bring it back to its roots.

A lot of people know about this game. It was a huge deal back in 2008. Granted, its popularity didn't last long because it's a singleplayer campaign game, but most adult gamers would know about it if you brought it up.

To me, Mirror's Edge is a meaning of freedom, pureness, no violence, no fear. The feeling you get is freedom, cuz you're there, running like you were flying like a free bird. Just imagine Faith, and then you're there, staring at that beautiful City with stunning blue sky with the wind blowing in your face. Nothing can't stand in your way, running can be a way to face our fears and enemies, but there will be times that you'll have to stop running and face them using your own hands. That is the best example for a epic game like Mirror's Edge.

@@rbrbnd Catalyst was closer to being Mirror's Edge than Dishonored is to being Thief (which itself is closer to being Thief than the reboot was). That isn't enough to say it's actually Mirror's Edge though. It's on par with how MS Mech Sim forced the MechWarrior series to skip the number 4 - it's a really good game but it shouldn't be branded with a name that doesn't fit.

I know I’m really late to your comment so you probably won’t see this. But still if you do, mirrors edge is like $2 on steam for a week because of a sale. so if you don’t have the game anymore maybe you can get it and relive at least half of your memory. I’m not gonna ask personal questions about what happened but I hope your life is going good in other ways. 👍

I prefer this theme song than the new theme song for Catalyst, Warning Call. I just feel as if this song fits the style and theme better for Mirror's Edge.

I prefer this too. Because, i can feel the "flow" in the rythim. And in my opinion, the first game have more better mood than the catalyst. Catalyst was not bad... but i think there was more in that... I still hope in a third episode.

Finished Mirror's Edge Catalyst yesterday. I played the original from beginning to end about 5 years ago. Both of the titles are beautiful and have given me a sense of freedom I hadn't felt before in a video game. Truly amazing games.

Yeah, Catalyst was also very good, but I hate that EA/DICE rebooted the whole story of the game because they assumed many people didn't know about the previous game who wanted to play Catalyst

In the late 2000s, a studio mostly known for shooters decides to try something different, and makes a short game about a young woman trapped in a white, spotless, suspiciously perfect world. Over the course of the game, the protagonist finds the seams on the edge of this world and ends up tearing it apart. And the song that plays during the credits, "Still Alive", is a banger that I still listen to to this day. Portal was such a good game.

Jack Ralph in the past game companies were worried about quality and in the present they all look for the profit.. they were used to make a lot from none... poor technology.. poor graphics and sounds.. amazing stories..awesome gameplay. i remember play some games with poor graphics and sounds but deep immersion.. feeling like inside a book.

I mostly agree to that statement. In those times the games had great storylines, fantastic storylines and etc. Now there are games like Call Of Duty with okay storylines, but nobody that plays it ever plays the game for the storyline, they just like killing people in multiplayer. However, there still are alot of other great games out there that are made in 2013-2015. Like the Assassin's Creed series, and the Grand Theft Auto series.

If that happens, it gets banned in China, Russia, and most of the West given some time, which would probably make it even *more* popular. You think a lot of the story was written but never published? Like with November and all that, mostly just seems like you see a single billboard describing it and that's it. Would be really curious to read up the rest of it if that was the case.

When playing this game, it feels like playing something from 2013, and I can't believe how old this game already is. Almost over 5 years this game kept beating the shit out of other games. Can't wait for the next Mirror's Edge!

Garik Bayok The Mod is ENB, it is very very popular among Skyrim Modders. On the Site enbdev.com/ there is a generic Version, which happens to also work for ME. You can inject Anisotropy and some effects with it. You could also try SweetFX

I remember my brother getting me this game back when I was in high school. He had walked from his apartment in town and we went to the movie gallery, and he rented this game for me and I just never gave it back cause I loved it so much, paid the overdue fee and eventually just owned it lol. He passed away in May of 2019 and now whenever I think of Mirror's Edge, I remember him and showing him how awesome this parkour game for the 360 was and us playing it together. I haven't played it since then really, but I still listen to this amazing theme song sometimes and it brings tears to my eyes.. Love ya big bro!! Miss you brother man

Although I've only played the demo on the Xbox 360 I've played it dozens of times and everytime you beat it this song plays at the end with a trailer of the full game. The song always made me stay and watch the full thing, I just couldn't pass it. Some years later I ended up getting mirror's edge catalyst on the PS4 and loved it.

Tommo Thompson I don't know who made that statement, but they must be joking. Yes, Dying Light has a bigger, open world. But, that's it, really. The parkouring element feels tacked on and is in NO WAY as smooth and responsive as ME's free running system.

This era was the peak of gaming. Stellar single player games with innovative gameplay and superb mechanics + intriguing narrative. Now it’s all about multiplayer loot boxes and cash grab models. I wish I can get the single player feeling back in the newer gen games.

This song, helped me many years ago when I wasn't in a good headspace. And now, many years later, I've fallen deeper into a that same not so good headspace....and yet this song still manages to always keep me going along with some other ones of course. But I just listened to this song again last night because I remembered it, I was crying, its been rough for me personally. The nostalgia and memories gives me hope for brighter days ahead and the feeling of freedom in this game helps me live a life free from my never ending barrage of negative thoughts vicariously.
