While congratulating Birla on his election as Speaker, Akhilesh emphasized that suspending MPs undermines the dignity of the House. He urged that no public representative's voice be silenced and that expulsions not occur in the future. Akhilesh added that while the Speaker’s authority is often exercised over the Opposition, it should also extend to the ruling party to ensure fairness and uphold democratic principles. What has Congress got to do with the Speaker post??? Because of Congress's arrogance they were thrown out of power 1978, 1989, in 2014 and diminished in 2019.
