After her 6 years of one-sided love, Kotoko got married to Naoki, and they went to Okinawa for their honeymoon. In flight heading to Okinawa, they meet a newlywed couple which disturbs their honeymoon. They face a crisis of post-honeymoon divorce, but after all, Kotoko has a stronger bond with Naoki and feels happy. When Kotoko goes back from the honeymoon, she is shocked to learn that their marriage paper has not been filed yet. This is Naoki’s decision that he would not file the marriage paper until his father’s company, Pandai, makes it through.

Naoki really loves kotoko but he doesn’t show it often because he doesn’t like to show much affection and doesn’t know how to express them well but when he does it’s always very sweet and heart warming.While kotoko knows how to express her love to Naoki throughout. I think they both match so well with each other cause kotoko brings out the feelings that Naoki couldn’t feel which is love and jealousy.

See also from Naoki POV. He genuinely think that slut as a patient. Nothing more. True he yelled and seems rude. But the reason behind it and whatever he said is true. As a person who works in medical field in hospital, I totally agree with Naoki. If you cannot tolerate your spouse touching others body during working in hospital, better don't married to anyone in medical field. It's also prove, that Naoki didn't see that slut more than a patient or an acquaintance who have honeymoon together. As soon as he realised her real nature, he immediately disgusted and run after Kotoko. Saying only Kotoko need to adjust is unfair, because if you able to put your feet in Naoki shoes, you will understand how much he adjusted his life and actions to fit Kotoko.

For the people who say that their relationship problem is misunderstanding, it's because that Naoki is not used to disgusting, feelings. As he said in S1. And he truly does love Kotoko as he reasoned that they needed to buy souvenirs just to get away from Mari. LOVE IT! He also did say that Mari shouldn't compare herself to Kotoko. Being a loving and of course, concerned husband like others, he also panicked when Kotoko-chan was missing.

I still remember what Naoki said about Kotoko when he had to explain why he loved her. He just said: "I love her power, her power to do ANYTHING." And that is correct. Kotoko may not be as intelligent as Naoki but she is way more stubborn when it comes to anything she wants. Naoki never had to be like that because everything was easy for him.

Can I just say how much I love that Kotoko's in laws are all so adoring of her? Usually in these dramas the in laws are insufferable and always trying to find faults or kick her out, but they always take her side on matters and are some of her biggest supporters in the show

The cutest part for me just has to be the intro. I feel like that’s the only time we see them actually going places and enjoying their honeymoon. Plus both of them are smiling. Naoki has such a sweet smile. I wish he smiled more 😢 but I’m addicted to this series anyway. I love Kotoko and Naoki together ❤❤❤❤❤

i sometimes find it a bit cringey or overacting tho... BUT its what makes it diff. (and attracts me to watch it still). a bit of expression exagerration plus the way it is being shot gives me anime feels.. its very japanese, indeed.

Naoki is not as annoyed as he should be with Mari. He should have put his foot down on day one and told Mari that he wanted to be alone with his wife. As cold as Naoki can be,I was surprised at how tolerant he was with Mari. He didn't need to be so polite with her. She is a nobody to him.

I enjoyed It All Started With A Kiss (Taiwan's version) but I am enjoying this more. Other people may find this cringy but this has it's own charm. And out of all the guys who played as Naoki, I really prefer Yuki. He is soooo perfect for the character!

Maturity is realising Naoki is a major red flag and Kotoko is colorblind. Any lady who respects herself would steer clear of a narcissist like Naoki in real life no matter how smart and intelligent he is! Whenever there are instances to prove how much trust and love Naoki has for Kotoko, he fails. He never shies away from criticizing her whenever possible and *NEVER* admits when he is at fault. It started from the moment their paths crossed and it compounds exponentially after they get married. Mama Irie knows this truth very well and so goes out of her way to mend their relationship whenever it jeopardized. Naoki has a tendency of taking Kotoko's love for granted and ridiculing her naive nature. And yet Kotoko cherishes him like he is a gem 😔

I am glad that they made a season 2..Because in season 1, it seemed just Naoki's jealousy and possesiveness for him proposing to Kotuko..There confession, marriage, honeymoon everything was very rushed..There was a huge need of Naoki's character development..I hope we can see that in this season.. Can we take a moment to appreciate Naoki's English accent?? I almost slipped..

*each version really has its own charms/way of attracting viewers.* i loved how natural the taiwanese version was. from the flow of story to the acting of the casts. it made it looked like a reality show instead of a drama. on the other hand, this version really gives me that japanese/anime type of feels. the cringey acting & a bit of expression exagerration seems to attract me than stop me from watching it.. *i love it both*
