This drama is no joke. Even after many months, the heartbreaking feeling is still lingering in my mind and my heart. Eugene Choi and Ae Shin's love story truly give such a huge impact to my emotion. This is by far the best drama that I've watched in my life. I'm still listening to the OSTs on daily basis. You just cannot move on from Mr Sunshine..

The women who died (Eugene’s mum, the inn keeper, Hina) all had one shoe that fell off, but Ae Shin is the only one whose dropped shoe was lovingly put back on by her man, and I know her life would be preserved by the one who put her shoe back on her foot.

Its very painful to watch the ending. I literally cried when Eugene was crying with happiness by seeing the photo of him and his wife and when he was talking to Kyle for last time. His love for his wife is truly Amazing. Its just very painful 😔😭

MR. SUNSHINE : The best Korean drama ever !

This is one of the best series I have ever watched in my life. It is so intense, beautiful, sad, and I will never forget it. The actors and actresses are spectacular and beautiful, not to mention the music is breathtaking and so heart felt.

이 드라마를 우리 청소년들이 꼭 봤으면 좋겠어요... 탄탄한 스토리, 배우들의 훌륭한 연기, 바람 앞의 놓인 등불 같았던 당시의 시대 상황 묘사 등등.... 정말 명작입니다

I think I can never move on from this drama. I’ve watched a lot of dramas or movies but this one gave me the impact that is probably the biggest in the entire list. And I felt like this is not a drama, but a 30 hours movie. It’s cruel, but pure love. It’s sad, but beautiful ending. Goodbye and see you again.

I don't like to write. I've been retired from the US Army after deployments in Iraq. As a retired Army officer, I don't like dramas. My daughters got me Netflix. Thank God I found 'Mr. Sunshine, mainly because Cpt Choi is a Marine officer and war history is my forte. I've seen the show annually and think in my mind what I've would've done in his position. The director and writer are excellent. The song 'See you Again', Baek Ji Young sang was addictive. I haven't found a better drama.

진짜 솔직히 이병헌 때문에 안봤는데 드라마 보고 나서는 왜 이병헌이 최유진인지 알겠고 작가님의 모든 선택이 옳아다는걸 알게됨.. 연출, 각본, 연기, 음악, 진짜 가장 완벽하지만 재탕은 못할 너무 슬픈 드라마ㅠㅠㅠ

One scene that really got into me is when eugene offers the ring and marriage certificate to ae shin in the bakery. He wrote LOVE on the flour left on the table, using the ring as the O. As he dragged the ring it spelled out LIVE from LOVE. It was very symbolic because they got married to protect ae shin as they go to japan. Love for eugene is to keep ae shin alive brb im cryin 😭😭

Here i am commenting at 2021 after watched all other overrated and hyped dramas, still Mr.Sunhine is the best of all. I couldnt bring my self watch other drama, and I couldnt move on for months after I watch this drama. The acting is briliant, the cinematography is took my breath away, the script is beautifully written, the bromance, the smart joke, and the plot twist still amazed me. Not everyone will find this drama awesome, no lovey dovey modern love, but damn I can feel the true love coming from this drama ❤️❤️❤️

Kim Eun Sook is incredibly talented and creative. She literally competes with herself for ratings. She is creating a legacy of Korean Dramas that others can only dream of achieving.

The only Drama that made me actually cry more than once and I'm sure that when I'm finished, I'd need at least 10 days of crying before I can watch another drama. I'm the type to binge-watch or wise I forget about the drama, but this one leaves such a huge impact that you can't forget about it.

the way ae sin refrained her tears as eugene put her shoe on to her foot had totally shaken me up. actually, every little gimmick shown in the drama surely had a deep meaning, this drama sooo damnn perfectt !!

Just told someone today that she had to watch Mr. Sunshine as it is the greatest K drama of all time, the one against which all other dramas are measured. Fantastic acting, brilliant cinematography, great writing, heart breakingly beautiful music, the storey tears your heart out and yet you can not stop watching. A stunning achievement and a tragic masterpiece. So many moments of beauty, and so much heart break. What an achievement.

i just finished this kdrama this afternoon. I keep sighing everytime i remember bits of episodes here. This is by far the best kdrama for me. Now that im listening to all of its ost, i feel lonely.

I am sure that Ae-sin loves Eugene deeply as she has declared that she gave her heart to Eugene. However, as a noble woman and a skilled sniper in the time of turmoil, she is first a fighter before Lady Ae-sin. Eugene encouraged her to be a fighter first. Eugene will eventually come to the realization, and understanding why she has been acting that way. Her love for him is bright burning even though quiet and cold, and his love for her is passionate. Whatever the ending is, their love will continue. This is the best drama I have ever seen, beautiful cenemagrophy,music, excellent actors and actresses!!! P.S. watched every single dramas and movies of kim tae ri after watching ''Revenant''. She sooo damn fineee 😭

It's really amazing. The cinematography, ost, casting, storyline..All of it. Especially loved how they made the fl strongest character of them all, yet always showing her delicate side too. It really doesn't have to be only one of the two.

I still can get over this drama even though I've already watched many kdramas after watching this. It makes me wanna watch it again for the 3rd time. Everything about this drama is so perfect. I wonder if there's a drama that can top this. Goblin was my #1 for years, Mr.Sunshine stole that spot just this year. Yeah, I hate myself for being so late.

Came back after 2.5 years. My heart is still aching and crying. Kim Tae Ri my favorite actress and I always miss her so much and watch a lot of her films several times, but this particular k-drama was hard for me to watch again. Best 👍🏻💯

I've just finished watching Mr Sunshine and I've never fell so much for a drama, everything was perfect, three man enlaced by a dramatic destiny, Gu Dong Mae, Kim Hui Seung, Choi Yu Gin, and they incredible love for Go Ae Sin, also Lee Yang Hwa, so powerful when she blow out Glorious hotel. I can't explain how everything felt so right, I'm still crying while hearing the ost❤️🤞🏾

(tbh, it's in the same level with scarlet heart) AND OSTS MUGHOSH 3. realistic. awakening. not your typical historical kdrama. 5. characters have their own background story. it's like a battle of who has the saddest one. ALL CHARACTERS ARE RELEVANT. 6. multi-lingual. french, english, japanese, korean, chinese language. 7. WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH, CRY, FRUSTRATED, ANNOYED, AWAKENED, SHOCKED, AND MOST OF ALL, SATISFYING. (SPOILER ALERT!) 8. since it's 24 episodes, you'll be attached to everything and everyone there BUT. YOU WILL SEE HOW IT WILL ALL TURN UPSIDE DOWN. IT WILL MAKE YOU SAY, "I MISS THE OLD DAYS" LIKE YOU'VE REALLY BEEN THERE WITH THEM. 9. You will hate the japanese here HAHA 10. you grow fond of the characters, root for their happy ending BUUUT they just all die. hOWEVER, you will not hate them for dying sinCE they've done it for joseon and to the people they love. (except the antagonists) 11 Hina Kudo died. Dong Mae died. Hui Seong died. Eugene fucking died. Gunner Jang, the servants of Ae Sin, the Righteous Army, the Glory Hotel and most people of Joseon were all gone. 12. You will miss how Eugune and Ae Sin be so sweet to one another, how Hui Seong, Dong Me and Eugene drink together, the charm and femme fatale of Hina and Ae Sin, the Glory hotel, the servants, the american legation, everything! 13. The thought of Ae Sin leading all alone with all the memories and death of her love ones will sadden you. 14. But the thought of how she'll get to survive it all and someday, she would also die in glory as she'll save and fight for her country and its people WILL MAKE YOU SO PROUD. 15. Not only is this one of the best dramas in the history of dramas, but the music in it.... it is outstanding!!!! I will forever love the outstanding work all actors did, as well as the gorgeous panoramic scenery and of course the story.... so heartbreaking but extremely beautiful!!!!

One of the BEST K-DRAMA EVER!!! Their acting is no JOKE esp Kim Tae Ri as Go Ae Sin just hits different, her facial expression, her deep voice are my fav and the OST sounds beautiful just like the series.
