@@ricardo1e93 an a6 from the same era with the same engine will have exactly the same problem if not worse (weight). All components of the engine are the same. Just needs better oil cooler and maybe even bigger intercooler. If we would use your logic an m140i would heatsoak all the time as it's a small car with 3 litre engine too running way more power. But in reality the b58 40i has some pretty good cooling from factory (water to air intercooler).

Great 1/2 lap and happy owner! I had a 2006 B7 3.0 TDI Quattro s-line in stock trim for 11yrs. My favourite daily driver car of all time! The S-line suspension, big brakes and permanent torsion Quattro made it such a great handling car. I once raced a B6 S4 up a snowy mountain (both cars full) and he only just pulled away on the straights. Then I looked up the specs and the 3.0tdi has more torque than the 4.2 (B6 S4). It also has the same S4 brakes as standard. Great car! Thanks

My previous car was A4 B7 Avant but with 2.0tdi engine. It was such a great, nimble car, the only thing missing for me was the Quattro system, fwd wasn't cutting it for me. After that car I went with BMW F11 530d xDrive. Whenever I get to sit in my previous car (which is being driven by my dad since he needed a car), the nostalgia is pretty crazy, the car also was slightly upgraded when I had ownership of it - power upgrades, minor suspension upgrades (sway bars to be more specific, was annoyed of body roll)

This makes me miss my b8 allroad 3.0tdi, anyone with a b7 think they are any good? I’m weighing up my options but I want something nice and comfortable with some beefy torque

Looks like a very well done tune! No or little smoke!! But the Swift struggle was very real until the A4 died. Which was a shame.

At first I thought it would give Ring-tractor vibes but this was definitely much faster than the Golf. The only downside there is for this car is the sound isn't as good as petrol engines but you get everything else... Excellent fuel economy, great torque and reliablity for being a diesel and its a handy station wagon. What more could you ask from a car?

Someday later this year I need to ask Misha for a lap im my b6 1.8t (by proboost engineering). Before there are some things to sort with the engine block though. 280k km don‘t go by without wear. Rest is still in great shape and good to go.

Usual problem with tuned Audi diesels, long periods of WOT under load will have spiked the egts

interesting ... I've not had any issue although I've only really pushed it for short periods on the roads near me (3.0 TDI V6 ASB engine in an A6). Care to explain a little about why it happens? Ta!

@@BlackLines it’s hard on the road to be at WOT under load for a long time- but the longer you are, the higher the exhaust gas temperatures will get, once they get high enough the ecu will cut boost to protect the engine

I sometimes thought Misha is shifting a bit too late for a Diesel. In my experience a TDI really is a different accelerating experience: early shifting, using torque from 2500 - 3500, shift again. I have the impression he wants to rev high like he is used to with a petrol engine but the Diesel says no, no ... But all in all a sovereign lap, owner and also driver (as always).

@alexandermenck6609 6 ай бұрын
Petrol or diesel - it’s about the power. Max power is about 4000 rpm in the diesel. So it’s definitiv the right way to shift slightly above 4000 rpm.

@@alexandermenck6609 exactly, but from experience of having the same car just the 2L 4cyl, peak power is at 3500ish so probably at exactly 4000rpm would be good to upshift.
