Wait, so you think that the roots took hold during the supposed fight with the cult? For me it looked like the sight of the cult was so horrific that the army was paralyzed with fear. The cult then simply slaughtered everyone and the roots were planted afterwards and took hold of everyone. Though to be fair, it is much to interpretation. The dreaming general could also be interpreted as being unable to wake up due to his nightmares and so oversleeping the fight....

Alot of it is left to interpretation, but from what it sounds like (from the 3 quotes we have on it) the cult and the army didn't fight. They just gave up, and in their stunned state, the forest began to overgrow onto them. Allegedly they are still alive but closer to Cadavers, after not eating, or drinking or sleeping for x amount of time. Atrophied to all Hell

From what I’m understanding of this area is that the area represents the protégés unyieldingness and restlessness to discover the truth behind the crown. Sure the cultists my have had a hand in it, but remember the crown warps reality into what the wearer thinks.

Yeah the roots seem to symbolize his obsession, how he was unwilling to let go of his desire to understand the Iron Crown.

For the most part, yes. But each Act is tied to certain areas, but then also ties into others is some ways. Act 2 is Resentment, which is tied to the Sprawl, the library and the fire etc. Act 3 is the Foetor, Act 4 Tangle which makes sense for the unyielding growth of nature, and perhaps the anthropy of the Army. He viewed himself as the only person who could invoke the Iron Crown, and everyone else was too weak, lazy, and unable to. Ambition does lead to pride.

trees are a sign of growth. something that can start so small, and so fragile, can last longer than most creatures. whatever feed this trees of malinge intent, to keep on protecting the mountain, must be quite the nutrient. excellent video. this, like water to a thirty plant, is refreshing. keep on growing!

That's a tough question. Personally, I want to say yes. It would be a costly battle but they might have been able to pull it off. With some fancy coding, we can actually pit enemies against each other and find out.

Very nice lore video! Can't wait to watch the whole series. ^^ P/s: I see you left out Champion enemies, like the Masterful Kinred or the Fallen Templar. Wish you could add them in somehow.

Figured that was going to be noticed. Yes I left off the champions because when I wrote these scripts it was before the Collector update. Might do something with them later. Who knows. In any event, thanks for watching 🙏
