Let’s cut the sh!t. There’s no debate here. It’s Hulk. He fought Sabertooth twice in movies. And the most anticipated showdown in marvel has been Wolverine v Hulk (“for decades”). I wouldn’t even be surprised if it was some form of Worldbreaker Hulk and he’s the one who killed all his friends (much like the comic).

Remember that Deadpool 2 had stuff in the trailers that was not in the movie. They were shot but they credited it. Bedlam had a lot more before he was killed in the parachuting incident. They showed this in the trailer him doing a lot more on the ground in the street.

It's 'Deadpool and Wolverine' not 'Deadpool, Wolverine, and Hulk.' A fight between Wolverine and Hulk would be a standalone film. While pointing out we are being mislead is the most obvious of takes, speculating another huge Marvel character to enter this film is somewhat delusional unless it's at the end of the film or the end credits.

When he said "people have been waiting for this for decades" he is referring to the fan base. Deadpool is one of the few, perhaps the only character who understands he is in a fan fiction universe. He often breaks the fourth wall and often talks to the audience about what is happening in the movie. It's part of his character. He knows he is made up.

The other fight that loads of folk wanted to see was a proper fight between Deadpool and Wolverine. A lot of people forget the context of these characters appearing on screen before, There was even a line in the previous movie "You would be a hell of a soldier Wade if you could just keep your mouth shut" This line was a direct dig at Ryan Reynolds who could not keep his mouth shut about how bad they were being with deadpool and wolverine in the old movie, They even permanently shut deadpools mouth in that movie and is that not one of Deadpools swords sticking through Logan? As far as fighting the hulk goes it might happen, they've certainly got a bigger budget for things now, Though a lot of the dialouge is basically just slagging off previous movies, so it might be that Wolverine totally owns the "terrible character" from the original movie and then the REAL sabertooth turns up.

Literally every person would love to see Edward Norton as the Hulk in Deadpool 3. Yet another character they could do without actually having Norton there, since Hulk is mostly cgi, he could just record his lines. He one shot Sabertooth, thats why he was saying who's next. The joke is that this much anticipated fight scene was ended in one attack, meaning the writers clearly thing wolverine vs sabertooth, while story relevent for the characters, is actually a very boring fight. Wolverine has regen and an adamantium skeleton. Sabertooth is Wolverine upgraded, but his claws are shorter and his healing factor is weaker (compared to logans) So obviously W vs ST is sort of a snooze fest next to W vs DP.
