Kara is so classy and just a joy for the state of ND. It's terrible she was not given the opportunity to shine as she is a true star!!! This nation missed out silencing such a strong young lady..however she will do great things and she will make a difference as she already has.

There’s some things, as still belonging to the organization at this time, that she is not permitted to say, it would be nice, but she just simply can

You're talented about dodging hard questions. I've followed this story as a contestant. It blows my mind how smoothly you refuse to answer questions and how you make generalized accusations without clarifying the details. Now Gretchen quit....I loved the Me Too movement and the removal of the swimsuit competition and all the media attention that the organization had! It breaks my heart that she chose to quit right after she's portrayed so badly in the light of the media.

she quit because all the former miss america thought that her treatment of cara was terrible and signed petitions to remove her
@Doris1888
@Doris1888 4 жыл бұрын
I don't think Cara was bothered by the removal of the swimsuit but the fact that Gretchen was bullying her. It was her year not Gretchen's 2nd time to be Miss America again. Gretchen wanted Cara to talk about her not the difference Cara wanted to do. Each contestant has a platform issue.

Well spoken and very believable. Sounded like if Gretchen remains as leader she should rename the Pageant "The Gretchen Memoir Show"

It seems Gretchen wanted to be Miss America and reign again because she"s so important in her own eyes.

She probably wanted to talk about Gretchen Carlson but was afraid of what Gretchen might do next.

The Miss America organization no offense is going downhill and it is because of the current admin.

If the interviewers would just stop interrupting her because she's not answering the questions the way they want this would be a good interview but they are silencing her too and trying to stir the pot! Let her speak! Don't interview people and then interrupt them when they speak! It's clear the interviewers want to control the conversation and get a good headline

Glad the interviewers tried to hold her accountable. Sick and tired of them going to the media but giving such general information. What’s the point if you’re not going to give everyone the details? It’s hard to take your side when we don’t know how you have been the victim of any injustice. From what I could see Gretchen seemed to be making some positive changes.

It is crazy nothing has changed at Miss America. Not even an "I am sorry", even if they said it only for whatever she felt they did wrong. I can't believe it. Also how slopply the role out of the new program, so many volunteers have no idea what is happening still

Are we still having Pageants these days? I use to be into it back in the days, but we are in 2018. I am confused that we are still having this type of competition.

The one with the MOST talent ( as far as I can recall )......was Vanessa Williams......who was stripped of the title back in the late 1970s. She went on to have quite a singing career.......as well as turning out to be a pretty good actress.

195511SM oh my gosh Vanessa sang a simple song, she did not play piano, violin, or sing opera. Vanessa was gorgeous at the 1984 pageant but not the most talented.

That was a lot of word salad, question-dodging, but I can read between the lines to understand why she's being careful and why she is HOLDING the crown speaking without it being on her head, as the interview was unofficial and she needs to protect herself. I see it!

Thursday, September 13th, 2018. 04:37 PM. [01:26 you know what you sounded like in this video at 01:26] Abused! A 24 years old that has probably been abused in more ways than she knows or can detects or depicts or explained! I went back to rewind what you've said and your statement changed.... I went ahead and listened up to 03:09 into your video] and simply say ..... hope you weren't part of the competition for neither money, nor position.... between 18 to about 40 it's really hard to tell when you're not in a "Position!" it is getting harder and harder!
