Well you can't just forget the Legends that came before and where mentors to many, like Tandy Andrews, Chanel Dupree and many others, Even Erika Norell is a legend in her own right! Erica and Shantel where very deserving of that title indeed.

Watching this again. RIP to the Texas Goddess. What a sweet and special memory. I am fortunate to have known Erica for many years, as well as Erika Norell. That she (EN) was able to crown EA will always seem so perfect. One Latina beauty crowning the other. And as someone else made reference to in further comments, "the girl in green always wins Continental." Fun fact: years later, another Latina beauty would wear Erica's green gown and be crowned the winner her year as Miss Continental. Anyone know who? ;-)

Sasha Valentino won that pageant. And I love Erica, but you can tell by the crowds reaction when Sasha is called first runner up. Her Thoroughly Modern Millie talent was absolute perfection
