Miss Continental ELITE is the division of the Continental Pageantry system for competitors who are 40+ years old. Miss Continental is an annual female impersonation pageantry system founded in 1980 by Jim Flint. It takes place in Chicago, Illinois. during Labor Day weekend but preliminary competitions are held throughout the year across the USA and in Europe. In 1991, the Miss Continental Pageantry System created Miss Continental Plus for plus-size competitors weighing 225 pounds or more. Miss Continental Elite was created in 2004 for entertainers forty years of age and older. Mr Continental was formed in 2003 for male entertainers. Wow! Jessica Manson, in my opinion, slayed this category. Everything was working in her favor. Hair, makeup, presentation, jewelry, shoes and that dress was to die for. I love the gal who won overall but her dress didn’t hold a candle to Jessica’s, nor her look. It looked like Laylas fabric was not long enough so they added a shear piece to get it to be longer. It just looked really underwhelming. I’m sure she did well in other category’s but this night, this pageant, I believe this category was won by Jessica!

if it were based solely on the dress, i would give it empress. but layla gave a smooth presentation of a superior gown.

Some of these gowns are true works of art, while others are amazing works of structural architecture. The various makeup people (I won't call them artists) must have worked for Sherman Williams - and applied makeup with a trowel. (Some of these faces were really scary!) The hairstyles....are still atrocious.
