Miss Venezuela's interpreter did her in. Was there not a screening for those interpreters?

i think those candidate that needs an interpreter should state their answers sentence by sentence and be translated as well in the same way so that credibility and reliability of answers will be justified as what had happened to miss brazil. Likewise interpreters should be selected very carefully by the organizers to ensure that they are highly qualified and competent for the task. I may not understand the answer of venezuela but I think she had a good answer, if it was translated correctly.

I'll be honest, that girl is so beautiful and she wasn't nervous... actually She was very confident. but the way she planted her ideas, it made difficult translate her answer into english... She was polite and said to interpreter: Don't worry! (No te preocupes!). Miss Venezuela Earth was funny, cute and took it slow down. I think that Miss Venezuela Organization should teach them (girls) more english so they would be able to respond if the interpreter fails and avoid in these situations. :)

:( Venezuela! Seré sincero, ésa chica es muy bonita y no estaba nerviosa fue muy segura en todo momento. Pero, la manera en que planteaba sus ideas... era muy complicado traducirlo... Pero, ella se mostró muy amable al final... y le dijo al interprete: No te preocupes (Don't worry!)... fue sólo una mala experiencia y ya!. Creo que esta es muy buena gente... No se molestó y se lo tomó con calma. por eso, deberían enseñarle inglés a las chicas y de esa forma podrían defenderse en esos momentos. :)

No importa Caroline fuiste una de las mejores (como 3 bandas se trajo al país y la corona de la reina Hispanoamericana). What beautiful Caroline looked, moving her arms y speaking in that way to the interpreter... hahahhaha she looked a littler girl XD Congratulations! Venezuela loves you, Caroline!

I think miss venezuela had to be the winner or at least first runner up, the interpreter was nervous and she wasnt, bad interpretation. she responded well.she helped him cause he forgot the wordsto say, the organization of miss earth should be more careful for next pageants .iti s a disadvantage for the contestants who dont speak english .

To credit the organizer; Philippines should not be the host country this year; Thailand is country to hold the contest but due to flood and catastrophic condition in bangkok and other provinces, Miss Earth Organizer cancelled venue and moved back to Philippines; it's understandable they have few week to prepare for this event.....

Im a filipino and this is not an issue about nationalism whatsoever, nor we can change the results, but ms. phil. was not deserving of the title. Nothing was impressive pf her but her lack of grace and elegance which showed even in her greetings and the way she delivered her answer. I think she forgot that she was joining a prestigious and international pageant for her to act as if pang barrio search lang. I hope other nationalities wont think that the said pageant was a pre cooked pageant.:(

I beg to disagree! Miss Philippines' answer was in fact good. Its in education that we become aware...and through this we can formulate some action. And agree to the fact that we, "ourselves are the cause and we should also be the solution". and solution can only be done through knowing via education. :P and also...mga pinoys cut the crab-mentality crap out! just support her pls. wag ng bitter! :D

Este evento deja mucho que desear. De verdad algo desordenado y poca preocupación por parte de la producción del show por mostrar un espectáculo mas elegante.
