Ive helped many racers go straight , i used to race, found most racers dont do this ...jack up the rear so the tires are off the ground , use a tapestry tape and measure the circumferance of each tire, even new so called pairs can be off. My tires always needed differant pressure side to side by at least 2lbs.!

I use two blades on my hacksaw, cuts both ways, auto extrication training, I love that car man, my favourite of all I’ve seen, she is truly a real gasser beauty

Question...is that an 8-71 and does it have Teflon strips? Been a subscriber since you started on the 57. Great content. Love watching you guys.

It is an 8-71 but it's not stripped, That's why I say I think it's doing all it's going to do, it shows 16-17psi on the gauge but from all indications, those boost numbers may be a little inflated. We have another stripped 8-71 that we plan to put on it, and have another converter already! Thank you!

It did sound like it was blowing thru the converter in this vid, especially the in car camera shots...could barely hear the 1-2 and it sounded like a cvt clutch on a snowmobile, went straight to max rpm and stayed there. I agree, don't think it's a boost/manifold pressure issue. Still sounds strong tho and the short end game is ON!

I really like this car. But the performance is way off,as a Blown alcohol dragster builder tuner. I would expect your car to be deep in the 4s. Bossman I always enjoy watching this car and spending time with yall. My health caused me to have to quit. But I still enjoy watching. Blessings to you guys.

Thank you! I definitely agree, although we don't run it as a max effort type deal, mainly due to the chassis, center of gravity etc, the power should definitely be there. We're leaning toward the converter being a limiting factor right now, and of course the blower is non-stripped. We have another converter and blower for it next, now that we're heading in the right direction on the chassis, we can start working out the other stuff and go faster!

@@NitroUnion and I heard you question the boost pressure 18 or so.... what size is the Cam if I can ask sir?... smaller timing values give high readings.. I'm sure you probably knew this but just curious.

Converter maybe too loose. On the gear change rpm didn't really come down. Sounds like it was blowing thru. Hard to tell watching be better if was there.

That's what we're thinking, spoke to PTC on the phone, we have a bolt together converter with a few stators from them that we're going to try next.

Ironically I actually have one, and I was going to bring it but it wouldn't fit in the little bag I put the cordless stuff in so I left it. Big mistake in hindsight, getting a bigger bag for all the cordless tools next time lol.

Glad you had a decent outing, I didn’t see timing being checked, plugs out, or valves & valvetrain being checked? If you lose 6mph you have something not happy! Don’t start changing pulleys, until you find out what’s wrong! Maybe you did & didn’t video! But I’ve seen many, many blower engines torn up, because people just ran them! Hopefully you guys already started looking & just didn’t video! Might want to also look at rear suspension, blown shock, loose parts, cracks, rollout, ect! Good luck!
