One of the greatest women that ever lived. Uplifting the Jamaican culture as a positive movement. If we don't be careful our children of Jamaican descent will lose out on this diverse heritage. Great video, respect!

True wod!. Expressions whether in potios (patwa) or in any other languages (English, Spanish, Hausa, Zulu etc) are all intelligent none greater none less.

I listened to her at the Carifesta in Barbados in 1981,with this monologue . After that I became proud of my rich Caribbean dialect . We as a Carribbean people should be proud of our rich heritage and culture. What is fantastic about us , each island has its own dialect but can relate to each other. We have dialect and can write standard English.

Should be the 2nd heroine! Bob says we need to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. That's what this lady is for Jamaicans: Our emancipator. She help to teach Jamaicans to love themselves and their culture!

Yes, we read “Colonisation in Reverse” when I was at school in Kingston, after I arrived there from England. Of course, my English Lit teacher picked me out to read it in front of the whole class in my London accent !

I’m very proud of my language. A full time now Jamaica mek patwa recognize as an official language worldwide. Wi a chat patwa fi 300 yrs now

I know a lot of Jamaicans migrated to Costa Rico to help build the railway a very long time ago so I've heard of the community in Limón that speak Jamaican patois.
