Honestly, i dont understand why people are being so racist, i dont have problem eventhough i am from chettri family. look at the answer of Asmee, and compare with Srijana. Srijana is undoubtedly confident women, but at the end of the day, it is all about answering properly, and to those who didn't understand question, the question was about "Should women be given chances to become political leader"? in a very simple, and understanding way. So, please listen to answers of the contestant carefully, Srijana's answer didnt support those women from sububs(Rural area). Asmee might be less confident compare to Miss. Regmi, but her final answer was bang on!! so just chill people. #peace

The thing is - Asmee had a better answer to the final question compared to Srijana. But, if you look overall, Srijana was a much better contestant than Asmee. And isn't that what Miss Nepal is about? Overall beauty and confidence? Asmee looked so nervous the whole time. She couldn't even smile properly! Whereas, Srijana smile and shined her way through the pageant! I'm not at all satisfied with the results. The judges panel could have atleast made her a runner up. Now, she's gonna think for the rest of her life that she wasn't good enough. God. I'm so mad.

1. Well the final round of beauty pageant is heavily or completely dependent on the final question. 2. Asmee Shrestha answer was the boldest answer among all (though women needs reservation) but she stressed on something that is nice to hear that could go long term. 3. Srijana Regmi answer was good but her presentation fumbled (in the middle of the final question) and I had to repeat 2-3 times to connect her sentences. And I think if she had done it right she would be among the top 3 finalist. 4. Roshni Khatri answer was among the best she gave a background and came to the point straight way. She was flawless. 5. Barsha Lekhi answer was not strong. The reason I think she made it to top 3 was she emphasized on the importance of Miss Nepal in relation to boosting up their confidence. That's what the organizers and judges wants to hear. It was sort of a marketing campaign. Well nothing wrong with that though. 6. Namrata Shrestha answer was the weakest among all.

yes, asmee gave an answer that showed her as a very condident and competent woman but it was not a smart answer. Marginalized women are the women that need to be spoken for. And some one in such position as a miss nepal should understand that. Srijana spoke for them clearly. It was a smart answer(although she shouldn't have said 'marriage') which was clear and sweet.

How about making the rating system cumulative? It appears to me that Miss Nepal was chosen based on only the answers. If you look at the contestants as a full package, it is clear that Srijana Regmi was LEAPS and BOUNDS a better contestant. Furthermore, the idiot judges did not quite get what Srijana was saying. She was suggesting that the city girls have it better than the females living in villages/remote areas, which is absolutely true. They probably took it as some sort of affront to the village girls. You need to make the judging system idiot proof. Otherwise good contestants get screwed. Hence why a cumulative rating system makes sense, where a contestant is judged based on not just intelligence, but also beauty, and other physical attributes. Also, stop asking political questions. Depending on the answer given, the judges may not like it if the views are different from what they believe. I have seen it too many times in Miss USA/World/Universe pageants. Now, Asmi Shrestha was a top 3 contestant, no doubt, so this year is not the best year to call miss Nepal "Miss Newar". She deserved a top three finish. Look at all the top 5 contestants this year. They were clearly well prepared. All of them could speak well. The weakest answer was Namrata's. The other four gave a good response.
