I don't have words to express how much this movie close to me.... When u purely care someone without any expectations and still you can't do that for so long which gives you a pain.. This movie shows that feel. You have to stay away and leave from their life just to let them live happily and thats the best ever thing we do for our most lovable one in life. This movie melted me and you did it again with your analysis. I booked the ticket at the end, only one seat in the AGS front seat.. I went alone, a remarkable movie. And my respect for Nalan went far high from this movie. He could have directed this movie without buying the license like other directors but he didn't. The genuineness of Nalan and his respect for others work. A huge respect for him and this movie!

This movie reminds me of my love life. We loved for more than 3 years and then separated mutually due to her parents. Whenever I hear this bgm, i get chills reminded of my girl, her laughter, her cries during our seperation. Back then I was immature, naive and foolish, but my love was pure. Still living those moments via this bgm!

When I first saw it, I felt it was unfinished, probably because it didn't give me all the answers or even end like the way you would expect a tamil film to end :) But of course, I did understand the the finite time-frame that the film is set in i.e. during the time of Yalini's struggles, she moves into the neighborhood and then moves out when the film ends, but to subvert our expectations (or to follow typical tamil film's formula, we see the story being told from his perspective), but overall a great film to watch, and yes definitely better than the original
