There is a fanfiction (by Serifu on Ao3, in a later part of the "Our House" series) where instead of running into Deku when running away, Eri runs into Shigaraki and with three sentience of her backstory scoops her up and goes *mine now* calls Kuogure and has her back at the bar before Overhaul gets on to the street.

it probably would of happend too as she has a INCREDIPLY similar backstory to tenko himself if he knew even basic details of what she was going threw hed likely do just that. plus a VILLIAN eri would be terrifying as she could effectivly do everything shigraki could do with decay ontop of being essentially immortal by healing herself like overhaul could alongside being the ultimate healer..

I was saying most of the villains have a heart they're just messed up by the society that prioritizes traits and material things rather than people like in the real world and you can identify with that and I would say some of them are more messed up than others to where they don't feel sympathy which is not good for anyone and doesn't mean that they're not responsible for their own actions but of course they wouldn't be like that if it wasn't for other people not showing compassion and some of the other villains are honestly really kind even more than heroes and that's sad
