dartsreviewchannel.com/ Mission Archon darts review. This is a straight barrel dart with a intricately machined front grip in a rose gold pvd coating and a grippy rear grip in a black pvd coating. The barrels are 97.5% tungsten and are a fantastic looking dart in an Elysian style at a more affordable price. Happy Darting! :)

Amazing dart from Mission. It’s certainly on the “hold my beer” level for a design statement and price. These are perfect for display, but I hope they release a different model in natural tungsten (and a bit shorter, please) for everyday throwing. Thanks for the review! 🍻

thanks for the good review and showing this nice one they are not expensive 105 euros in Belgium but I'm going to stick to target and shot will probably also buy this set due to the high tungsten content

Beautiful looking dart, and for the right player seems to be a great option. Probably longer than I’d be comfortable with, and definitely pricier than I want to pay considering I mostly just throw at home for relaxation. Price being a big reason I’ve never ante’d up for any Shot darts, despite throwing several models really well. But the most important question…how do they look with green flights? Thanks for another great review!

Thanks! Its pretty good overall, not as soft as the Blades but it has a bit of a mix, some hard spots and some very soft spots.

Hi Darren i actually won a set of these today, very grippy way beyond any grip that im used to short barrel so the 24 gram actually feel heavy enough. Rear grip really more grippy than front section but strangely enough i only got them this afternoon and had 5 180,s in about an hour of throwing them. Only downside at the price they are mission really need to put a decent and longer pointvon them

Thanks for another fantastic review! These look beautiful, but likely too long for me as well. The challenge leaderboard is getting so big now I am having trouble seeing where the current set ranks without pausing the video. If it is not too much trouble, could you highlight the current set being reviewed on the leaderboard? No big deal if it is a lot more effort. 🙂

Yeah thats a good idea for highlighting the dart that has been reviewed, I will try to remember to do it. Its going to get bigger as it goes on so may have to split it eventually too :)

Extra groovy pattern - got a 70's carpet about it. Too slim for my pudgy paws - 55mm maybe long but I hear they do short stems that should fix a flight in the perfect postion. If they had a 40 X 7.2mm Archon-K slim carbine bomber I'd snap them up. Not sure they would used CHONK as as the name though. Perfect review - for the Algo!

I had probably the biggest collection in the world at one time but over the years I sold a lot of them. Some are sold some are used in giveaways and others are just stored away but will likely be sold eventually :)

Stunning set of darts! I'd be scared to throw them though, incase they got scratched .😄 Especially if I paid 85 quid for them. They would be a good set for collectors and darts connoisseurs. But I'm a cheapskate, lol.

Makes me wonder why the Elysian darts are so expensive ! Both are overly complex in my opinion , pretty but we are playing darts not at an engineering exhibition . I do like the 97,5% Tungsten and 6.2 mm barrels though !

I think with the Elysians its all the other stuff with it and also the fact they are usually no more than 200 sets made, they more you make the cheaper it is but they make them as a kind of limited collectors set.

Very nice dart. The name of the 98% tungsten darts escape's me at the minute but I know like you say tungsten has to be mixed with other metals as it's to brittle on it's own. But 97.5% is probably as high as you'd want to go with tungsten content.

Yeah I am not always sure if above 90% is the best really, may just depend on the quality of tungsten but I had some 97% ones a few years ago and they chipped like crazy, I used to always think 80 to 85 % seemed harder and more durable but I may be wrong :)

@@DartsReviewChannel I've a set of unicorn sigma 970 that I got years ago from Tommy's darts one of the darts had a hairline crack in it from day one although they've been heavily used luckily enough they never broke out. But yes 80% to 90% is probably the best range to stay within.

@@DartsReviewChannel also, of the pro players on tour, very few throw dart above 90%. I recall James Wilson used to throw 97% Black Mamba...and some RvB sets have been 95%, other then them...some of Phil Taylors many versions..

Do you know of any darts that have that rear grip style all the way across the barrel mate?

I dont know any with that exact same grip full length. There may be some with a similar style though, depends what you want exactly as not sure you will find a dart where the whole length is the same, something that is close maybe the Winmau Poseidon but its not exactly the same as the grip on the Archon. Other option is to get a custom made set with the grip like that all along :)

An Elysian front and a rob cross black edition rear!!!….. a lovely looking dart but why why so long !!!! …… I wonder if companies aswell as varying weight could vary the length of the darts aswell…. Just an idea….. weights vary,shaft length vary ,why not the dart length

Is it true that 90% tungsteen is the best? More or less makes darts weaker...

It's certainly the most common for darts, but tungsten quality can vary so not entirely sure it's safe to assume it's the best just because of % of tungsten I think it is more likely it's the range that works best for certain dimensions.

These are short i won a set today never seen a grip like them but i could get used to them. I throw a very long dart custom made so these seem very short.

Get the 18 g soft dart version and use a conversion point then. The weight should be slightly under 21 grams with that.

@@oldgold5848 Which is why the Archon are affordable compared to those, if you want an Elysian style of dart that is, if you dont then of course there is much cheaper darts out there :)
