This is a Mission Belt review that compared the popular holeless belt to another micro-adjustable belt without holes - the Anson Belt. Is Mission Belt better than Anson Belt? What's the difference? Which one do I like more? Find out in the video! Here are the links to each brand:

Have used both, Anson is a bit better in terms of quality and the mission logo is way too obvious and cheaply looking. The Anson buckle is actually the logo itself without being too much on the nose which is amazing design

I've only had Mission Belts as far as ratcheting belts go, but they DO have a HUGE selection of belt colors as buckle colors and designs. I'll have to check out Anson too. As far as "genuine leather" goes, bonded and full grain are both "genuine." But, full grain is thicker and better quality, while bonded leather is thinner and processed cheaper, as it is specs of leather pressed together. But, I've never had any MB peel or have had any problems.

I’d go with the higher quality, or the canvas. With leather, it’s almost always a bad idea to save money on “genuine” or bonded.

I was really liking the mission belt after wearing it for about 2 months the black Darth Vader 35 mm belt parts of it started to have splits on outside oh. Yes it's leather part about four different spots I bought much cheaper belts for only 20 bucks that never did that I bought much cheaper belts then even that and never did that. I figured because. I looked online and it's about 20 bucks to buy that part of the belt again doesn't seem fair it should at least lasted a year. Or actually even last longer than that I've had belts and I paid 20 bucks for and had them three four years and they had no issues like this. Any suggestions about possible warranty replacement for issue like that I know you said the videos not sponsored by Mission belt but I wondered if you had any idea. Thank you Ross

Surprisingly, I couldn't find anyone else who answered this, but yes, you've been putting your belt on wrong. Traditionally men are to apply there belt using the right hand fed into the left loops. Women are reserved. Belt which have logos or a clear top and bottom are typically manufactured to accommodate this principle. "Why" you ask? Honestly not 100% sure but I'm pretty certain that like many odd quarks such as this, its origins likely spawn from the military as this is where I learned this information to begin with.

As me personally having both the Anson and Mission belts, I like both the belts they fit me great and great quality belts. In terms of luxury belts, Anson is more luxury with their premier collection belts they're like the Louis Vuitton belts. I also like the Italian leather of Mission belts they're great luxury too. My dad have some Mission belts the Los Angeles Lakers design belts and they hold up really well for my dad from time to time.

Even Anson belts have their own cons. Don't you think the design can be improved further more by reducing the size of the buckle especially the width of it? It might be ok to wear it with your casual outfits, however, when you dress up you need a sleeker belt that complements the whole outfit. Also the bulky buckle looks weird when you layer it with a sweater on top of your dress shirt.I own the belt and I give it 6.5/10
@BrockMcGoff
@BrockMcGoff 7 жыл бұрын
Agreed they're better suited for casual outfits. I usually don't wear a belt with dressy outfits, but if I do it's a slim, low profile leather belt.

Good review, thank you for doing the video. I am in the market for a new belt of that style. I have been using a nexbelt for about a year now. I love the look, not the clamp strength. My buckle comes off while hanging up in the closet some nights. For $37 may take a chance on the mission. I'm waiting to see an Anson in person at stylecon before I buy a new belt though. PS- Mission has some nice unbranded belts, guess they send you ugly overstock. These type of belts are great for conceal carry of a firearm. Easy to adjust throughout the day and always perfect retention due to shorter adjustment points.

Just bought a couple of belts (rather straightforward ones from a decent German retailer). I looked around first and got annoyed massively with all the logos, Boss, Marc O'Polo, Strellson, Ralph Lauren. Most higher end fashion brands put their ugly logo on the belt as well, or at least a very visible name tag.

I am not sure why Aaron is always wow-ing over Anson belts. Maybe they are good in the US, but if you are ordering them internationally they cost a bomb in shipping. Mine came to £100 for 2 buckles and 3 straps. Were they made out of hide from a unicorn ? Nope. I had a belt which I bought from a Poundland (like a dollar store), which had a similar quality of material. Anyway, lets see. But definitely dont go by all the hype.

The instant you said it was genuine leather I stopped caring for it. Genuine leather is garbage in my opinion after you feel full grain leather since its Infinitely better in terms of quality and durability. Im not sure what type of leather anson belt use ive never seen them explicitly say "full grain" "top grain" or "genuine". My first holeless belt was from "slide belts" just for the fact I knew it was full grain.

Brock, I am humbly going to give you an advice. your videos require a lot of work. I am no expert but your videos seem boring and long. if you go back to the RMRS channel from a few years ago vs. the channel now, you'll see a freaking lot of difference in the way the videos are done..Antonio did a great job and perhaps you need to get your video standards up a lot more to make them more interesting for the viewer.

I make videos for a living and I think his videos are mostly fine. This one in particular is a bit too long, and the sound could use some work, but by and large it's fine. well, i only intended to offer some advice so that the videos could improve. like i said i am no expert, but maybe you guys took it the wrong way...doing a video on belts is fine, but having so much time talking to the camera with the belt as the visual clearly isn't the best form of making a video appealing. Alpha M and RMRS did belt videos too, and they strategised their videos with pics and demonstrations as well...but there is an obvious difference in their videos and the one posted here when it comes to engaging the viewer...anyways, whatever you guys think; what do i have to lose anw? i think Brock puts out some decent content but definitely expect better standards in videos that's about it

I'm sorry. That looks cheap and plastic on video. And the logo on the buckle looks garish. Any belt that involves a clamp and requires scissors to cut reeks cheapness. There's nothing stylish about that belt and the buckles on both are way too bulky. Thanks for the video though.
