The Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 is a catch-up vaccine campaign focusing on unvaccinated children aged 0 to 5 years and pregnant women who may have missed vaccines. It will begin on August 7 and will be conducted in three phases across the country. The campaign will target specific districts in India, including Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Malappuram. The vaccines to be administered include Measles-Rubella, DPT booster, and OPV booster doses. There are approximately 18,744 pregnant women, 61,752 children aged 0-23 months, and 54,837 children aged 2-5 years who have been identified as partially immune. The vaccination will be conducted in government hospitals, health centers, and selected accessible locations. The State has planned 10,086 immunization sessions, including 289 mobile sessions, and will deploy 4,171 trained junior public health nurses for the vaccination drive.
