I love this happy ending...It makes me think of a Jane Austen novel. When we were first introduced to him by Ruth, and he was in desperate need of a bride. Sarah is the perfect bride for him, and they are so lovely. What a timeless story, it's like an 18th century romance with a modern day twist. Congratulations to them, and many happy blessings to them.

I'm SO happy for Anselm and for his marriage. I watched another show a while back that showed him in the planning phase, when he first inherited the property and it needed a lot of work. He was a single, party boy at the time. He even considered making it a cooking school. I'm SO happy he went with this party/event venue instead. Beautiful wife, children and beautiful life! Kudos to him!

There were so many rude and negative comments about him from the previous show, but the fact that he decided to save his ancestral legacy shows his dedication. Originally just this one man to have to make ALL the massive decisions, renovate, afford and foresee the future of a huge 700yr old family estate and legacy is A MIND BLOWING RESPONSIBILITY! The whole entire lot could of been lost for good! BRAVO Mr Guise and family. History becomes today and tomorrow becomes the future so on and so forth. Such a place must have the continuation of Moving forwards and keeping history in the present to continue as such for future generations. It is people like Mr Guise and family along with other Heirs and heiresses, owners and trustees of places and buildings of our fabulous English History. I am very proud of having it to learn about.

I glanced at the website www.elmorecourt.com/3d-tour The renovations Anselm did to the house is certainly beautiful & truly worthy for wedding & other venues too. Yes, the some of the centuries old shit load of furniture, paintings and other antiques are gone & no longer collecting dust "just" sitting around in the house, but he's kept many of them among the newer furnishings, and many paintings on the walls as well. I love the neutral colors & the brighter decor colors too. The huge map on the curved wall is a favorite of mine. And having handicap accessible bathrooms - Thank you Anselm. I love the genius way Anselm did to turn a (negative) possible money loser estate into a (positive) money making business estate. Those who gave exaggerated+rude comments do not understand the huge amount of money it takes to maintain an estate. The insurance, utilities, annual repairs, surprising WTF kind of repairs, landscaping, making sure everything is up to code with building inspectors, fire inspections, and paying employees that work on site would be well over 100 thousand per year. God bless Anselm for making his dream a reality! :)

What a wonderful ending , or rather beginning , to a beautiful ancestral home! Because of Anselm , his children will have a wonderful home to grow up in and some day become the new holder of the legacy to pass to their own children. He's grown so much , into a responsible grownup who not only cares about his family and home , he also showed he cared for those who work for them and the tenants and their neighbors (soundproofing). Bravo.

I remember when Ruth came to meet Anselm and as she came to see progress for 3 months. Later on I saw him selling stuff to Drew of Salvage Hunters and got to see the home restoration which was beautiful. Today to see how happy he and the family are is truly heart warming. Fab that he worked so hard to make his dream come true! Wish him much success, joy, happiness.

Back in 1966 my family hosted a class graduation party at our home, which was situated in the centre of our 400+ acre farm. Precisely at 9pm a phone call came in complaining of the noise. Yes we had a 3 piece band, but it wasn't all that loud. If it were my mother would have been the first to complain. Still we respected the neighbour and quit the music. Should have invited the neighbours.... LOL

Fantastic! Wow! Such a lot of hard work for Anselm and his family and they can now enjoy the house and have it earn an income for them. I'm so happy for them. No idea who they are but I'm happy for them. Much better to stay in the family than be sadly sold. It is now a working estate - Brilliant!

I hope and pray that many many more of these beautiful buildings can be saved and given a new life instead of going into ruin and collapse. May this house be an example to save others. We must not let our history go by the wayside and be forgotten but be cared for and saved for future generations to enjoy and learn from. Elmore Court is so beautiful now and I hope to visit such a place in the future:)

Glad Anselm was able to save his ancestral home and the lifestyle of his tenants. Better these old piles should stay with the descendants of the original builders than be sold off to Arab sheiks or multinational conglomerates.

After searching Elmore Court just after watching Country House Rescue....5 mins ago....I seen he was approved, but I must say I am somewhat disappointed that he didn't do the cookery school, as I enjoy cooking myself, I thought that idea was excellent. Nice to see he has made his ideas a true success.

Just watched the country home rescue and I wondered how he was doing and judging by the website it looks like he’s doing well, while house looks like it’s been remodeling plus a wedding venue and a new guest carriage house.

I hope the prettied up the outside of the venue it did look like a mud box on the outside.

In the original Rescue show I thought he was looking at a Cookery School.

I wonder why Anselm did not pursuit the cookery school. It would have been a safer bet, reno would have been invested in the main hall and you would have minimised your leverage and perhaps not worry about being fully booked every week of the year to break even. Well done having a go at a different angle for the property but ....too much risk.

If his father is the Barronette, why did Anselm inherit the property from his uncle?

Why is it called Elmore Court?

My Mothers family is British but I fail to understand why they keep referring to HIS business venture as a "scheme". His age? The idea that there might actually be a good time had? Yes I think so. If he wanted to open a Funeral Parlor, I doubt they ( both the woman on - the committee & the woman Narrating This documentary ) would be calling that- a scheme. Extremely unkind. Fairly sure that sprayed on Foam covered by cement paint would have been fairly cheap.

If he would have followed previous advise he could have had a very lucrative business. But party on loose everything

Very happy it worked out for a nice man and his family. But what piece of shit neighbors especially on over 1,000 acres of land how could they even complain? Poor asses. Here In the USA would have paid the counsel off and when I finally built it I would have made sure the neighbors could hear it. If they continued to cause problems I would make them go missing and burn there homes down. Can’t stand poor people how they always need to try to ruin things for others.

The planning committee on the van looks like a retirement home/ loony asylum outing party

I was very disappointed when looking at the website for Elmore Court to find it is nothing but a generic high class wedding venue now. This video is VERY misleading. The new building is just a reception area. The main house is now ruined. The lovely woodwork has been painted, the character is all lost. It's too bad. I'm sure it makes them a pretty penny, but it is no longer an "ancestral home" it is just another big, generic house party locale. They've gutted it, and it is about as true to the original and classy as the VW van they have in their opening screen shot. I would have rather have seen them sell it to someone who would treat it with *respect* than to keep it in the family and have them tear it apart and make it nothing more than an expensive party palace.
