Remember when Kevin Clarke interrupted the Toronto Mayoral Debate last year hosted by the Daily Bread Food Bank. He jumped on stage and grabbed the Mike from Mitzie Hunter all because he was mad the moderator didn’t do a land acknowledgement.😂😂

I live in Mississauga and had no idea the debate happened. Councillors are bad at reaching out to the community. If Carolyn Parrish wants to stop all the woke nonsense then I will most definitely consider voting for her. Just because Toronto has gone communist doesn't mean the 905 has to follow along. A difference of opinion does not make one a racist, white supremist or transphobe.

I,m Voting for Alvin Tedjo He would freeze Property Taxes for 2yrs & find other ways to raise Capital so taxes can stay low. Carolyn Parrish says nothing on her webpage about freezing Property taxes just asking Doug Ford to pay to help out. That will Never happen.

She shouldn't debate. What she said isn't remotely wrong. This won't be a debate, she will just be slandered as a racist the entire time. Refugees do just sit around and it's very costly. It's not because they are lazy, it's because there is 1 job vacancy every 200 people. Being pro refugee no matter what doesn't make you a good person.

Doug Ford avoided debates and media during his last campaign and he won a majority. Pierre Poillievre avoids all media and he's ahead in the polls. There's no benefit to debate for the politicians, so they don't.

Pierre doesn't avoid the media, they avoid him. The media plays a game with politicians. They need access to the government for stories but the politicians need access to media to broadcast their message. With Pierre, they don't see it as a worthwhile trade. He isn't in power right now AND all he does is criticize their preferred choice, so they mostly avoid him. We see this also play out with the Ontario provincial government, where I will ALWAYS see news outlets repeat the NDP's criticism of any policy whereas at least half the time they don't bother showing a Conservative representative give their take on the policy.
