Thank you for clicking on this video! Today we take a ride on Mississauga Transit Miway's brand new 2023 New Flyer Xcelsior XDE60 2375 on its second day of revenue service. This order (2375-2396) is the first order to have both the MiLocal livery and MiExpress livery ordered from the factory. Just like the 2022 order, the 2023s feature a redesigned livery that removes the "My Destination. My Route. MiWay" saying on the top of the bus, a "updated" drivers seat, the new BAE Modular Accessory Power system (MAPS) which allows the bus to start accellerating using just electricity. There is one difference from the 2022 order and its that the 2023s use a Luminator Spectrum destination sign. These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L 6 cylinder L9 EPA2023 330HP engine paired with a BAE Systems HybriDrive HDS300 Series-ER transmission. These units feature 53 4ONE Aries seating and ride on MAN axles. 2375 is based out of Miways Central Parkway garage.
This video was filmed on route 109 Meadowvale Express Northbound towards Meadowvale Town Centre starting at Winston Churchill Transitway Station and ending at Meadowvale Town Centre. Route 109 Meadowvale Express travels North and South using mostly the Mississauga Transitway to connect passengers from Kipling Terminal to Meadowvale Town Centre while making a quick stop at City Centre Transit Terminal. Route 109 is based out of Miways Central Parkway garage.
