What are y’all talking about. UCONN has still been an excellent program and have played in the final four every year since. It’s not like they completely fell off the map and haven’t even made the ncaa tournament.

@@bamafan6108 Broke UConn might have been a bit strong but that game certainly broke the choke hold they had on WBB and while they are still an absolute beast of a program they don't have the same control over the sport they did before that shot dropped.

@@bamafan6108 yeah I love what UConn has done and I think they will always be at the top but now I enjoy how many teams have become contenders lately. UConn was so dominant before this in recruiting and winning that they scrimmaged USA basketball for a challenge

Easily the biggest upset in the history of Women's College Basketball. And to this day I'm still pissed at how Vic got snubbed for National Coach of the Year in 2017 (the vote occurred before this game) when that man literally took a team full of virtual "nobodies" and shot them to national prominence in 4 years. This will forever be one of the best games to watch!!

This whole tournament was about Karlie vs Katie. Stanford were underdogs and Karlie was playing great. Just amazing. And there was a freshmen, whose name I cant remember, that was willing Stanford passed the #1 South Carolina. Then Karlie rolled her ankle. All hope was lost for Stanford. Katie and the UCONN team sitting on the sidelines were stunned. I knew UCONN would probably lose when Karlie rolled it. The look in their eye was just stunned disbelief. Just a few hours later...this happened.
