I love to see Natalie with her own quilting videos, she is so helpful and a pleasure to see. If possible, I would like to see her share her knowledge in choosing threads/needles for hand and machine quilting , how do you decide on a quilting design for your patchwork/blocks, any help you can give us on borders: size, how many, any preference? Thank you and great job with The Final Stitch.

Oh my goodness. Up until now I have been making my tabs individually by folding the cut fabric in half, then folding each side in toward the center, then folding the whole thing in half! I never thought about making a tube and then cutting the tube into the lengths I needed for the tab! I used my tube turner that I bought 2 years ago and never had used. It made it soooo easy! I tried this method today for the first time and it saved me at LEAST an hour!!! Thank you, THANK YOU!

Hi Natalie, Loved this Final Stitch Episode!!! I have found that putting up small quilts with old needles works great. They are strong and you can pound them in a little ways, and they are easy to come out. They do not damage the quilt and there is just a small hole in the wall which is covered when painted.

For folks like me who do not like (hate) to hand stitch I make triangles out of fabric , a few stitches for the top and just a couple for the base point , then slide in your rodd ......I did that for a 40 inch wall hanging and it is great. I love your idea of turning it around once in a while although it is not an heirloom it is still precious to me . I am MSQC biggest fan and was planning a visit to your shops last July, so hopefully in 2021 it will be all cleared up then. Cheerio from Montreal, Canada.

I would love someone to show us how to add a tab or sleeve to an already finished quilt so that you dont mess it up for those of us that have some from when we started out and didn’t know what we were doing 😆
@kathyeubanks5524
@kathyeubanks5524 3 жыл бұрын
Deidra Powell I’ve done that. It’s the same principle; make the fabric tube, but turn the raw edges to the inside. Then I hand stitched the casing sleeve to the back of the quilt. I like to stitch the bottom as well, so the sleeve doesn’t show at all from the front. Tabs can be handstitched the same way, if you prefer that they show from the front. Another method is to use finished corner sleeves, but I find I have more stability with the sleeve casing.
