I’m in the United States. Any time we go to visit my father and my husband drives, my Father sits in the front seat. We do it out of respect . He is 86 us old. It is not like they are sitting in front everyday. Remember it is cultural. You are still mayas heart.

Why be negative about Americans. Other cultures do things that are different, and it does not necessarily come from a negative place. In some Caribbean islands, the wife always sits in the front unless it is physically difficult for the mother to sit in the back. When my father was alive, he automatically sat 8n the front passenger seat. What happens if the wife is the driver and the mother is present? Does she automatically sit at the front, and her son sits in the back? It could be if it works for them. As a mother, I would automatically have my daughter-in-law to sit upfront with my son. No exceptions.

By default front seat of a car is for wife. That is why Maya’s mom was attempting to sit at the back. I personally allow my MIL seat at the front when hubby is driving as a form of honor or respect to an elderly. Miss Trudy you did the right thing same as Maya sat at the back of the car in Kenya and allowed Dad to be in the front when he visited in the New Year

Ms. Trudy, there is a rim with little wheels that the micowave glass sits on that Maya accidentally threw on the ground when he was taking the plastic off after he open the box. It was under the glass tray. That is very important to make sure heat is distributed evenly by rotating the glass tray/plate. I saw when it felt out but I don't think it was noticed. Beautiful vlog and you are a caring and thoughtful daughter in love! 😊
