Regarding the harassing comments about my English speaking skill and the typo "reflection" in this video, I should say that while I've tried to learn from the feedback, I don't understand why those people would choose to insult me in this way. Please don't leave any nasty comments here, or they will be removed and I will report the account to KZfaq.

Reading the description, I feel bad that people have insulted your English. I respect the fact you even put subtitles incase someone didn't understand you. I know learning another language is hard, because I actually had a friend that moved to my school from Mexico in grade school, and I tried helping her learn English better. Her translator appriciated my helping and the girl taught me some basic Spanish.

Thanks for sharing how to kill the crab in speedy way, I had a hard time trying to do it clean and felt so bad when I did wrong and made crabs suffer.

To all the idiots here most people just throw living crabs into boiling water this is the best way by far and you should be promoting this humanly way to do this.

Your supposed to stab the two places you did, but it's supposed to be done quickly. Both stabs are to be done WITHIN 10 seconds. You want to sever both major nerve central points. If you want be super nice, the. You place them in the freezer for 10 minutes first.

I wonder where you bought that fresh live crab. I have gone to several markets but they only sell frozen or already-cooked crabs. I really need fresh live crabs for my recipe because as you know, fresh crabs taste the best! I hope you will answer my question as soon as possible. I live in California.

I usually just eat this as it is with black vinegar and it is the best. But you can use the crab to make basic pilaf with ginger and a hint of curry powder.

Why don't I see you remove the heart of it? Heard it is very 寒涼 and it is in the middle so if you chop the crab in half does it destroy it?

I forgot to remove the heart in the video. Thanks for letting me know the heart isn't good for our body. I always know we should remove it, but I'd never known why.

The crab died instanly becuase i know lot about crabs and that moving was a dieing nurves reacting it was not in pain so need to worry.

I've been told that boiling them alive is the best way to kill them. It's supposed to keep the flavor or something. Is that true?

Yes. When you boil them without making any holes in their shell, you seal in the juices and when you open them up, the flavor is fully retained. This method shown in the video is better when you're doing a fried dish and you will be seasoning the food very well. When you are just eating the crab alone, however, it is best to just boil it alive.

Steaming and boiling can also keep the flavor well, but I prefer steaming method, but I never try to cook crabs without clearing the guts first since worms could often be found in the guts.

pro move: put it on ice, flip off top of shell and quickly remove gills and face and the deed is done much faster... clean under running water..

Could always slowing chop them up, spill acid on a portion of their bodies, drop it on the floor over and over again,Burn it throw it in ice and repeat, I could think of more ways, but I'd rather not.

That is actually not the humane way to kill a crab when it's live. I was told, it's better to put the crab or lobster in the freezer for a few hours so that the crab or lobster is asleep and won't feel as much when they are almost frozen. It's kinda sad on how you killed the crab with the force of that bar through it's body. I'm sure if someone did that to you, that you would also move all over as well like the crab did when you forced that object through the body. I felt bad for the crab. You need to do more research on how to humanely kill the crab without it moving.
