I want to comment something here was… Not all Khasi people don’t like a woman to married a Non-Khasi but it just that our society has met or has seen in all these past generations that whom ever a woman married the Non-Khasi, later they left and go back in their own places and not comeback. Not all but some. So why these happen today’s , was esp. men are responsible and cares for our own people, they get irritated when they know this kind of situation. And i understand here that you’re a very different and understanding person so i hope that you’ll going to continue loving her, respect her culture and care her till life depart each other.
