The problem is the danger that you bring into play going for such a difficult and aggressive line. Many of the top ladies can throw the line that Missy did here but the pinpoint accuracy is insane. And throwing a high speed disc means even a slight tree kick usually means an instant bogey. And Mad is right, even if players throw a "perfect" shot, they still will usually only be in circle 2. Missy threw a great line but also got the exactly right glide and ground play to get under the basket. Put more simply, huge risk and very little reward

@@myerklamb8529that’s a massive gap. Most players are throwing the same speed either way. He also said the mindset which he’s completely right. Henry ford said “whether you think you can, or you think you can, you’re right.” Mindset is massive in disc gold

@alightened A massive INITIAL gap, but then you have to weave around about 20 trees and also get good ground play. And even in that scenario you're still probably only in circle 2. And part of being a pro is knowing your game and knowing your limits, and assessing risk and reward. Just look at Kristin Tattar. She has dominated the FPO these past two seasons while taking minimal risks and just accepting pars and bogeys as they come. She plays some of the least risky golf on tour and still wins constantly

I’m gonna be that guy who’s fun at parties and say it’s lazy and cheap. What kind of professional sports commentary has broadcasters saying “suck it?” Embarrassing honestly. Take your job a little more seriously. Who is going to take this sport seriously when people act like sloppy bros on the sport’s largest media outlet.

​@rileyezzo657 I'm on the fence about these things. To me, disc golf is more fun than watching any other sport precisely because the commentators don't take it too seriously. Like yes, incredible skill, precision, and power to be pro, but at the end of the day, it's also just throwing a disc, not saving lives. Where the line gets drawn though. Idk.

It's always been more interesting. Watching the men is what's boring. Whoever can throw over the top of everything and stay inbounds usually wins. So boring and unwatchable. I can't watch either without fact forwarding. I I can't watch either in person longer then 1 hole. Love discgolf more then anything but man is it hard to watch.

The more spin you put on a disc, the more "true to flight numbers" flight you will get. That wasn't a turnover as much as it was just letting the disc do what it's designed to do.
