Young Sheldon is an American comedy television series on CBS created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro. The series is a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory and begins with the character Sheldon Cooper at the age of nine, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. Iain Armitage stars as young Sheldon, alongside Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts. Jim Parsons, who portrays the adult Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, narrates the series and serves as an executive producer.

When Sheldon stopped seeing his dad as a role model you can tell that hit George quite hard as someone who lost their father it’s hard seeing that happen.

I love how this series reveals that Meemaw is in no way the "sweet innocent person" that Sheldon painted her as in TBBT.. reasserting that Sheldon is basically an unreliable narrator of his "intellectual superiority" among other things.

That's how you know your marriage isn't in good shape. If your wife's first response is to go into high alert and immediately and angrily demand to know what you did after you tell her you need to talk to her about something, you know your marriage is built on very loose ground already. A more common, healthy response would be: 'Sure, what's up?' If you've done something stupid so many times that she immediately gets suspicious when you tell her that, something's gone wrong in your marriage for a pretty long time already.

@@adrianajarquin599 On TBBT, it's mentioned that George died when Missy and Sheldon were 14. As of the end of S3, they are 11 years old, meaning that if the shows sticks to aging up the kids one year per new season, George's death would occur in S6, assuming the show lasts that long.

I always thought Young Sheldon's Mary Cooper was the same Mary Cooper on The Big Bang Theory because they look so identical I thought they just put bit of a make up to make her a little younger for Young Sheldon but oh geez, turned out she's her real-life daughter. Except Mary, as much as I like her, is guilty of keeping a lot of secrets away from her own family. She lied about secretly saving money, refused to discuss Georgie's childhood until Georgie was infuriated with Mary, Meemaw told Missy about Mary's past (not Mary), and Mary seems to either be overpowering or unable to take charge because she converted to Christianity 4 years into their marriage while George Sr remains a non-religious beer/brisket loving Texan all throughout.
