I prefer my ironclad for my home setup, but this is an excellent, and probably cheaper solution for a smaller, and thus more portable, MiSTer

Thank you for the guide. I am still using a more budget set up. was that grommet in the side for the tape input add on? And are there any add ons to the build that make it harder than shown here to assemble?

can someone please tell me if you can install nvme and boot off of it instead of using sd card? I much rather not use unreliable sd cards. thanks.

Are there any resellers of this case outside the US? Caution: I somehow killed my (first) DE10-Nano by accidently ejecting the SD card while reaching for the USB cable next to it. That's while it was powered on, so be careful with that. I had to buy a new one.

That aluminum heat block design is a little weird since it has ample room to actually put a vertical heatsink there and you wouldn’t want to shape it like that if your goal were to minimize heat that is exhausted inside. To conduct as much heat outside as possible you’d want a solid, centered, aluminum column without the blue anodizing on the bottom. Personally, I think it should have an internal heat sink on the vertical portion since other components can heat up and increase the ambient internal temperature. If ambient temps climb higher the fins will actually absorb heat to cool the ambient air too.

Has anyone run dual RAM? It's my understanding it uses the same pins the analog I/O board uses, so choices have to be made, but it you use digital I/O or no I/O board, it's a good choice for future proofing, as some cores in development need the extra bandwidth dual RAM provides. I'm just wondering if you can mix and match RAM modules, that way I can use my current RAM module from 2018.

Man I'm so done with these cases, they make it nearly impossible to get the microSD cards in and out and you end up a total mess of dongles and cables coming out every side. Shoot some video of one of these actually fully loaded up and in operation, it will look like shit. Next build I'm going to relocate all the ports to one side of the case.
