Oh my goodness!!!! That’s what I thought too. Misty is a lucky pony. First she gets real friends, then she gets a cutie mark, then she gets her dad Alphabittle back and soon she’ll get Queen Haven as her new mom and Zipp and Pipp as her new sisters. I’m so happy for Misty and I can’t wait to see Alphabittle and Haven get married so this can happen.

I haven't seen a reunion like that since jewel and father on Rio 2

I really liked this twist. I was thinking Misty's parents died or something dark with her backstory. I think being kidnapped and having all her memories wiped might fit the bill of something dark.

Misty might have gotten amnesia some time after she got lost. Whether or not Opaline is responsible for it remains to be seen. Though I wouldn’t put it past her.

Not to mention that alphabittle never said he was a father. Why didn't he tell anyone this? Ever since we first saw him, he always acted so calm and gentle. You'd think that a father who lost his only child would be more depressed and reclusive at certain times.

Maybe they will show how Misty meet Opaline in Chapter 6.

@@starfishman1018 Based on how young Misty looked in her flashback I’d say it was at least 10 years ago they were separated. He definitely looked much grumpier when they met Alphabittle. I think his new found relationship with Queen Haven definitely helped lift his spirits a bit, but I’m sure he never stopped wondering what happened to his daughter or if she was even alive anymore, best he could do was keep living and stay put hoping that one day she might come back though their home door.

Hope we see this in Chapter 6 or a future Tell Your Tale episode or in season 2.

I never understand people hating on the animation for a new series, it's always like that at the start! The first and last episodes of Steven universe are extremely different in style and flow! It takes time for the show to gain a better budget for better animation and for the animators to get used to the style of the show

The improvement is really there, I get seeing how poor the results look when the teams made it seem like we were going to have the same quality as the movie ( Which was a hell of a reach to begin with on both sides ), but even Gen 4 looked quite bad in quality at the start before the budget grew overtime it's popularity. The writing is still a bit wonky considering the story setting of this Gen is literally flying off the top of their heads, especially when it comes to how cutie'marks works, but animation is still doing better at least.

Ask bronies like Peace Petals and Addy Lovestar apparently. As they can't say anything good about MYM and only refer to it as "damage control".

I don't hate the series. I just wish there was a better connection between this and G4 since this is a sequel to it and how it got from that to this; plus there are some elements from G4 that are still missing that I would like explained (ex. Crystal Empire's fate, how Equestria got so small, where are some of the other races, etc.) a little sooner rather than later.

Misty already got the love she deserves from her friends when she decided she’s better off with them than she could ever be with Opaline and reuniting with her father got her even more. But after Alphabitle and Queen Haven marry, it would give Misty a stepmom and two step sisters.

Don’t forget back when Izzy was growing up the ponies were still surrogated so there was also a lot of fear as well so he probably never told her because it was personal and he was trying to protect the ponies or maybe he never had the picture up until now sometimes if you have unhappy memories, you may not want to remember them

Well it was for Alphabittle, Misty doesn’t remember their time together, but she’s definitely up for getting to know her dad all over again.

Alphabittle never told anyone about Misty because it was hard for him to talk about it. After Misty disappeared, Alphabittle pratically, up until the unification of the crystals, just kept to himself, running the tea room hoping that one day Misty would return. Many people are like that when they lose a loved one. As for resemblances, Alphabittle did use to have a dark blue mane and Misty's mane, before getting her Cutie Mark, did have blue on it.

@sonicgen20 Twilight takes after her mother, I'm sure the same goes for sunny. After for pinkie pie, well....I'm stumped on that. But i know rainbow dash takes after both of her parents. The same goes for trixie.

She probably would have if she looked at it long enough. At the same time, she probably didn't want to assume that Misty was the same filly in the picture since a lot could have changed and she didn't know Alphabittle's daughter's name since he didn't bring it up.

My theory is maybe Alphabittle was probably father of the year, but the mother was the complete opposite.

Maybe Misty’s mother died after misty was born or she divorced Misty’s father when Misty was a baby?

Or maybe Misty was adopted/her mom got hurt by Opaline

Just who was Pipp and Zipp's father, or Sunny and Misty's mothers?
