Garden Island Necklace Tutorial

Let’s build this lovely nature-inspired necklace! I’m calling it my Garden Island Necklace, after the beautiful island of Kauai. Center bead - Faceted rondelle- 13.5mm x 10.5 - pale green color
Leaf Components - 26mm x 23mm - Bronze with green patina
Bead # 1 from center - Faceted rondelles 11.5mm x 10mm - opaque black color - add copper bead caps
Bead # 2 from center - Faceted rondelles - 11.5mm x 8.5mm - pale green color
Bead # 3 from center - Wooden beads - 10mm diameter - dark walnut color
Bead # 4 from center - Smooth round beads - 8mm diameter - metallic green color
Bead # 5 from center - Faceted rondelles - 7.5mm x 6mm - black color
Bead # 6 from center - Rectangular beads - 13mm x4mm - matte lime green color
Bugle beads - 3mm long - lime green color
Beads for charms
Natural wooden disc beads (coconut shell) 8.5mm diameter
Large Teardrop faceted crystal - 14.5mm x 10mm -round - dark metallic green color
large bead cap - Bronze with green patina
Small Teardrop faceted crystals - 8mm x 5.5mm -- half transparent/half metallic green color
Faceted rondelles with sparkly bumps - 6.5mm x 5mm - opaque black
Faceted rondelles - 6mm x 4mm - pale green color

Hi Luisa! This necklace is beautiful! I love the loop of bugle beads under the large green focal bead in the middle. And the wire design to make a loop on the end of the leaf component is so cool!! It looks a vine!! So creative!! Thanks for sharing your design....truly inspirational! ❤️📿🐾🐾🥰

The Cancun bead mix evokes images of Rio's Carnival. So colorful and festive! Your trick of turning the leaf charm into a connector was brilliant. Did you say why you were using both 20- and 22-gauge wire? Your necklace is beautiful. I certainly pick up the nature theme and can even envision tiny elves peeking out and saying "don't bring that bawdy, loud Carnival here, please and thank you, we can get into trouble on our own". And you listened and kept it natural. Way to keep the elves happy! This a beautiful design, wonderfully done! I would love to see what you could come up with using that Cancun mix, too Fun! Oh Luisa, this is one of my very favorite necklaces that you have made. I can almost smell the Island garden flowers when looking at it. Absolutely gorgeous. I am not just saying that, you have out down yourself again. Your skills with design and wire wrapping are untouchable. At least it gives me something to strife for. I believe your pieces will be in a museum someday!

I always look forward to your videos so much! Your designs are always stunning and unique. I hope BBB and JJB are paying attention! I don't get the JBB box but I have some similar components. I love this design. I believe the wooden looking disks are probably made with with coconut shells. I would love to be somewhere tropical now too! My husband and I always go. to FL for about 2 weeks in January, But not this year. I really missed no going. Take care, God bless.

I love this piece so much! I seem to always learn something new from you with each tutorial. Your beautiful designs and tip/tricks keep me coming back for more :-) It doesn't hurt that you teach in a calming, peaceful way. I watched this with my first coffee of the morning and what a nice way to start the day!
