A short break ( usually 2-7 days) as a reward is a "pass", not a discharge. A pass is an approval to temporarily leave the base. Most soldiers get one eventually. A discharge is when a soldier is finished and is permanently done.

According to K-media, Jimin ranked first overall after five weeks of military training. He received the highest commendation from the Division Commander as the Top Trainee of his unit and took the oath on behalf of the trainees. He is always on top! 🥳🥳 Jimin received the honor of The Best Trainee (The Most Exemplary Trainee) by the Division's Commander.🥇 This recognition is given to the trainee with the highest overall marks from all assessments during the training period. Sports Chosun reported on benefits Jimin will receive for his commendation! "At the graduation ceremony Jimin received a commendation from the division commander which was given to the first place among all trainees. The grand prize for receiving the division commander's commendation is usually given as a reward for 4 nights and 5 days of vacation as well as benefits such as early promotion" From his student, artist, and now military trainee life, wherever Jimin goes, excellence follows. You worked hard. We are so so proud of you, Jimin. Congratulations!!! 👏👏👏

Not surprised, especially by the academic excellence aspect of his military training merits. Jimin was class president of his school for 9 years. He trained in kendo for 8 years and is a black belt in martial arts.

@@user-dw1xp4lq9i Why is this nonsense? Jin enlisted in the 5th Division on December 13th 2022 being the first member of BTS to enlist and will be discharged this year in June. He is currently a Sergeant and an Assistant trainer at the division and has achieved early promotion all through his service due to his exemplary service. He also received the title of ‘Special Elite Warrior’ a difficult title to gain and equal to belong in the special forces from a physical training point of view. J Hope the second BTS member to enlist has followed his footsteps also gaining this honour and also becoming an Assistant trainer and will be discharged in October. Jin was also the only BTS member to become the Commodore of his platoon leading them into the graduation ceremony and taking the oath of allegiance on their behalf, a great honour. As expected each and every member is following his lead of excellence. BTS always leads the way!

Jimin got it 4days 5nights vacation because of his outstanding achievements during his training. Everyone won't get the same vacation. You have to earn it by your hard work. Jimin got it because he is in no.1 in the overall training period, so he gets it.

Not a vacation but he was rewarded some days off because he completed his basic training and graduated with the highest scores in every assessment in his base. he received a certificate for that, took an oath as a representative of his fellow trainees as well.
