To many of those pedestrians, the lights and alarm are to warn them that the barriers are about to come down (so hurry across) and not to warn them that a train is coming. Some are also aware that there is usually a safety factor of one to two minutes before a train actually arrives. They could be fatally surprised if the train comes sooner than they expect.

Good video as always. I am surprised that Network Rail don't just fence off the crossing with there being a bridge next to it.

same that is exacly what i do if i come up to a level crossing and the lights and alarm turn on i would just stop and wait to see the train my self

The place doesn't matter its the bastards who misuse the crossings they have brains to think with and they should think I see see the red lights flashing maybe I shouldn't cross because I don't want to be hit by a train! The place doesn't matter its the people
