Just can't forget your explanation.. Anyone can learn physics but teaching it to others in layman's language is the real talent ..

I found this while briefly searching for a vid to demonstrate exploding wires similar to what happens in Exploding Bridge Wires used for initiating an Explosive Train, Igniting Propellant for a solid [fuel] rocket motor, etc. This was a nice and concise demonstration.

Sorry, in this condenser, to have a more powerful discharge it is necessary to increase the diameter of the wires. The wires you see in the video are small.

What's the thickest gauge of wire that you think you could 'explode' in this manner?

Those wires which are involved in the connection of these apparatus can break due to high voltage too . So be aware of that . That's too dangerous . A sudden appear of hugh amount of energy will make you feel heat and will burn your hands

Conclusion : when the wire is too hot it explodes

Basically the circuit for setting of nukes :-) Just a spark-gap that does the switching, and ofc a lot more of developed electronics.... And Pulse Forming... And that's enough education for most :)

Btw, if she touched that output on that capacitor with just her hands, she would have been dead before she hit the floor from touching it. That's why she uses a copper bar and an insulated rod to discharge the capacitor. That current and voltage will kill you if you touch the output of a charged capacitor that's capable of outputting 3,000 volts.
