MIT, I will come to you and study there for PhD Programme in Economics... will be back in 2024. Hopefully, my dreams will do come true.

In theory consciousness comes about in a deeper level from the collapse of thousands of super positions per millisecond within microtubules. They are structures within brain cells that provide a framework structure within each cell and store and send information including gap junction synapses signal. Strong A.I. will come about when they are able to artificially accomplish the same. In 2016 microtubules were produced in a lab in Japan and signals were recorded from them in audio representation, they sound really cool!

Don't worry there are plenty of scholarships, if you keep working hard there is always a way to get a good education. Unfortunatly with institutions like the MIT there is always a bit of luck involved, simply because tons of people apply. Fortunartely there are other universities, like Stanford for example, that could realise your dream of getting a good eduction. If you're dedicated and apply yourselve you'll get into a good university.

Do these machines know about their existence? Of course they can sense the world around them but I talk in terms of consciousness. I feel that when a machine realises its a machine then either it will break down or it will grow to be something human, something intelligent.

I think there’s no difference between the intelligent machines and us I think we’re just more complicated, our consciousness is more complicated

Your latest 3 videos (this one being the most recent) didn't show up in my subscription feed. I notice your 3 latest videos also have very few views (approx 15% of the norm), so it's probably not just me having the issue.

While content is good, videography has many cliche shots. People pretending to be discussing is one of them. Videographer is not from MIT?

I rather not hear an expert say 'now machines can feel' .... no they can't, and the statement gives the wrong impression to people who don't know it.

ie a machine can 'measure' or 'detect' the feelings of living organisms ...they cannot feel anything themselves at all.

+ GEaH Good point. :-) We've been hearing a lot lately, from some in the AI community, that AI has been hyped and its abilities been exaggerated because of popular movies and books. That's just part of the reason, of course. Another part is what you've just pointed out: the experts using "confusing" words like learning instead of "billions of testing loops to narrow down to the best sets of parameters" (i.e. neural networks) or feeling instead of "detecting the feelings of living organisms ...".

yes, I've tried to explain to youtubers a few times [without success] that no machine has ever heard sound [they only detect sound waves [essentially movement]], never seen red [only detected 'red' wavelengths of light] and never felt pain [a balloon can detect sharp objects] ....they think I'm crazy.

If machines can be built to be 'good', then certainly they may be built 'bad' as well. Sure would be a great place if everything was just made to be 'good'. Peace.

Without bad, there is no good. All machines that are 'intelligent' can't possibly be good, as sentience presents emotions, regardless of what they are. From what I read guilt is one of the first emotions that are adopted by humans

The technology is more a fantasy what I have been worried about is the liquidation of Gordon Moore's law and to crochet the second following computational paradigm must be minister smoothed to the limit as well as bits and covers must be qubit transistors must be the same of ministers smoothed that conventional transistors intensity one millimeter square to the limit of militarization at the atomic level and so to go from once the transistor is made the number of born of the chips and to what the person wants me what I am intimidated by the fantasy in technology is the limitation of the single Moore's law and to administer once to the limit the kiubis as you have seen together so that we do not have to wait to receive the future ice cream maker but with these regulations technology is a fantasy to improve the quality of life but wireless connections should not be used in many things that have priority as the community putation in the cloud for geolocation since it is another concept another concept since wireless connections are double-edged weapons since there the client if he wants the type of more capacity operates capacity because it varies according to the size in square millimeters for example if it want a dual core processor with a core code postal 16 core or more, turning on what the customer wants !!!, This must be so for the technology to agree well !!!!

Great video, MIT is a cool school, unless you worked for Obama. Then you learned nothing usable there shown from your intelligence actions. ( you should thrown a little Spider Robot on Obama's lap and said, hey were going to think that this for our national intelegence security plan) 1:31 TGB the way that I mean it
