To those unaware it is NOT the NBA HOF it is called the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame; it is not based solely on accomplishments in the NBA.

Stern laid the tracks actually, Silver kicked the door in. Commishiners are not friends of the fans and the games they represent. They are there to make money for the owners. Sadly the games and fans suffer. Sold-out!

@@rayj.9568 For a couple decades most of us managed to make skin color a lesser concern even if it wasn't completely gone. Sadly, in the past decade or so, skin color and other "identity" things have been raised to the most important thing by far too many people.

@@rayj.9568 800 years wouldn't even a micro-bite of the apple. People of all races, all nations, all nations, all continents throughout all of human history have been judging one another on everything, including race. If accurate, judgments based on individual character tend to be more appropriate. Judgments based on most group affiliation and characteristics (including race) -- whether positive judgments or negative judgments -- are not really earned.

What baffles me is the HOF electing players who were not considered some of the best of their generation at their position. It seems the HOF lowered their criteria sometime around 2008 or so. I think the basketball HOF should be divided up by leagues. Seems odd to throw them all into one HOF.

Neither is Bosh, Pierce, Webber, McGrady, Ming and a handful of others. Seems like the NBA HOF lowered its requirements starting around 2010 or so.
