Mithun rearing has a long and storied history in #pangsha village and its surrounding regions.
Under Pangsha village jurisdiction, which includes New and Old Pangsha and ITC Dan, there is an estimate of around 2000 Mithuns.
Mithun, which is also the state animal of #Nagaland, remains a vital part of cultural heritage and livelihood of Pangsha villagers. Despite its importance, the practice faces sustainability challenges due to crop destruction and the high costs of fencing agricultural areas. To ensure the continued viability of #mithun rearing, more comprehensive support is needed.

Much respect to Khiamiungan community for preserving this tradition of raring Mithun. The Govt of Nagaland should really consider the effort of the people of that area and provide necessary help at the earliest with respect to our state animal.
