Hello and welcome back to BOAB models. This is the full build video of the 1971 Mitsubishi Colt Galant GTO-MR in 1/24 scale by Hasegawa
This car has one of the longest names I have come across and in later years the Colt, Galant and GTO were all separate Mitsubishi models! I've not built many '70s cars before so that's pretty exciting. This set was tooled in 2018 so it's pretty new.

Stunning job. Meanwhile I'm aspiring to your level with a couple of 1/24 Indy cars and a Mickey Thompson Challenger also in 1/24-5. I also have 2 full size 1976 4 door Lancers I'm making into rally car replicas for the African Safari Rally that they won. Thanks a bunch, Thailand Paul

Great build, Thomas! You did well to capture the early 70s look. The interior is specially well made, and although it's difficult to see once the car is done, it's so satifying to know it's there. And Mitsubishi really went all over the place when naming this one...

Many thanks, Gustavo. I do like doing the interior - I'll have to do another convertible soon to really go to town on the interior! The name is crazy - since then, the Colt, Galant and GTO have all been different cars! I drove a Colt for a rental once - you wouldn't have believed it was inspired by the Mustang! 😅

Very kind, Spencer. Thanks a lot. I tried something new with the photos, using an angle poise light to help illuminate the photos and I was very pleased with how they turned out.
