Mittenwald evening walk , Walking in a thunderstorm with lightning strikes , Mittenwald is a village in the Alpenwelt Karwendel and is located about an hour and a half from Munich. Mittenwald proves that a small Bavarian village can be great in many things. Mittenwald is internationally known for its rich violin-making history, lively traditions, artistic facade paintings and the beautiful nature surrounding the village.

Beautiful buildings, and clean streets. I noticed that the restaurants seem like they were getting ready to close down while it was still day light. Also, the church bell just went on forever. Another beautiful video. Thank you.

Zuid Beieren is ook mooi. Ik ben wel eens door Mittenwald gereden toen we vanuit Oostenrijk een rondje met de auto daar maakten. Wel bij de Eibsee ten westen van de Zugspitze gewandeld.

This is based on a superstition that the sound waves of the bells can drive away storms. I lived in the Alps for a long time. It is believed in many communities there.
