This is actually so true tho. Like some montages with insane editing (like gamerboy80s 50k sub for example) was like the best montage ever at the time, but nowadays an edit like that is sort of mediocre In today's standards (it's still really good tho don't get me wrong)

I love watching this as a point of view of a oldschool editor and see how alot of the editors improved in the past 4 years. I remember the dark days of MC Community and now its so more consistent than ever :D and the community now is more open to help each other out this is the best time of community wise and seeing what work people performerd like here its amazing to see! Thanks alot Mix to spread this contest with everyone!💛

This is my opinion, don't judge me. I personally find these cool but at the same time it would not be "the best". Those edits are not "edited". They're kind of overedited. The problem with all those edits is that there's WAYYYY too much effects (Example: Edit #1) and we can't even see the game itself because it is covered with too much motion blur or way too much effects that fills the screen. I miss the cooldude951 era where there were just montages, and that's all, even though they're not "better" that what we have today. For example, I watched your "When Hypixel videos forgets to put their Makeup on" video, and I thought that we couldn't even see the motion of the player and we couldn't see the actual "fight" because there was a bit too much flashy lights, and it kind of looked like a stop-motion lmao, and I think you put a little too much "makeup" x) But I don't say your videos/edits are bad, not at all, I like them a lot, and you're a great editor! But I can't understand the "story" of the edit because it kind of moves too fast for me to understand the edit. Wish you the best, Nutzey.

lol I definitely see your point in this comment I think edits and videos in general need to find the balance between telling a story and making stuff look cool; the reason I liked cooldude951's content was cuz it kinda told a story (even tho it was a simple one: builds up to cool clutch-anticipation). I agree that a lot of edits need to relax on the effects, and simply should tell a story, and it's important for editors to not only know how to edit, but also how to *edit* a story
