Absolutely stunning please continue sharing with us. And any step by step process videos would be great. I just started making a art journal from a book. I am new to all of this. I watched a lot of videos. But after glueing my pages together and adding some layers the pages started seperating. What do I do yo keep that from happening? I started with some mod podge and scrap pieces of papers to give the first layer like you did then I added some gessi then I added some circles cut from cardstock with acrylic medium for the glue choice and then I added some more smaller circles when that dried with mod podge because I wondered if that was the reason is started to seperate. Then I added some crackle paint and glass beads in random spots Then I used some distressed ink pad rubbed around the edges of the book pages then I sprayed water and tilted the book. So it would sprrad everywhere. After that last step the pages started to seperate alot. Any tips or tricks would be great. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring us

Be sure to use something flat like a plastic gift card, or bone folder to really smooth those pages together when you put them together. Work from center outward and get all the air out and make sure you put enough Modpodge or matte gel medium on the pages to stick them together before burnishing. Then…. He sure to let them dry 100% before decorating the page. It sounds like the internal layers were not totally dry before adding wet mediums and that may have caused the pages to separate. Hope that helps.

I get the images I use as focal points from magazines such as Art Doll Quarterly, Juxtapose, Stampington, Haute Doll, Daphne’s Diary, Vogue, and books from my library sale box.
