Oh yes, lots of fun. Pam at the Paper Outpost showed us how to make paper leather using brown paper bags and creme rinse. I'll have to try it with hand lotion just to see if there's any difference. Hope you have a great day.🌞

This is gotta be the solution for those of us who won’t use their favourite papers but just get them out and stroke them, and then put them back! What a different technique, gotta give this a try! Thanks Gayle

Yes, the kindergarten students in our school, at Thanksgiving time, use a piece of brown paper bag and they squish it and squish it until it is like "leather", no lotion at all. They love doing it and decorate it with Native American symbols to tell a story.

I think it is even nicer with jist little little oliveoil on your hands, like just a drop you rub in. The paper then is not so slinky, it is more fabricy and it shrinks more, smaller krinkles. I have done it with even just a little spritz of water or nothing at all. So much fun.

Gayle - I really have to thank you for this video in particular and all of your videos, even if I don't quite keep up. I watched this with great fascination in the morning, it helped me stay calm in the end of the school year madness I'm dealing with. And then my pregnant daughter updated me in the evening with some possible complications with her almost-born baby and I could NOT fall asleep. I tried a bunch of things, including watching another of your videos, but nothing helped, until I thought "do some momigami!" and I did - and it did help with the regular scrunching of the papers, to relax me enough so I could sleep. All I can say is - thank you. It isn't "just" crafting - a lot of the time it's good medicine.

Thank you, Gayle, for showing us this technique! I've wondered how it was done. It reminded me of when I was teaching and I taught my students to take a piece of brown grocery bag or old-style classroom paper towel and repeatedly crumple it up until it was super soft. They loved it. I guess it was a stress reliever for them too. The lotion definitely adds a cool texture to the paper. (I had to put down what I was working on to join you. 😊) So many possibilities ! Good afternoon Gayle! 💕 Thanks for doing this so we can watch. 👍 Any problem gluing things down onto this? And does the distress ink stay on the paper and not transfer to hands, next page, etc.? Does hand cream work better than lotion? Does it leave greasy marks when laid on dry regular paper? Brain working overtime. 😂 I foresee Dollar stores all over the country experiencing a mysterious shortage of hand lotions. 😄 Have a great day everyone!💕
