Seems to me that The Gayle Way has resulted in 52K+ subscribers. I love your willingness to step forward with boldness to discover new ways to express yourself…it has encouraged this new journal creator to take steps in that direction also. Your easy manner and playfulness, and your sense of humor are so enjoyable. Thank you for being Gayle💕

As I used to remind my students..."If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything." As soon as I started that line, they'd all join in with a great emphasis on the last three words. So, I'm saying that for you, Gayle! You are amazing!

Gayle, Others get jealous and envy when creators let go and are free to be themselves and it shows in their creations. You are one of those beautiful hearts 🥰 I love everything you do, I love the path that you are taking and exploring. You are one of the creators that I consider beautiful inside and out. Love always ❤️ and giant hugs 🤗 Also, your stencils and stenciling is very fun and uniquely you.

Sweet lady, I watch your videos because of the joy in life and in creating that is evident in every word you say and everything you craft. Of course you do things differently from the way I do things. Also if I wanted to learn a technique, I can search for a course on that subject. I want to see what you can do with similar items. You have a great style, sense of color and composition that blows me away. I love sharing glimpses of your life. But most of all I love your kindness. Your sweet kindness and sunny outlook brighten my day each morning. Thank you for being part of my life.

People really sometimes think that in our modern times everything has to turn around perfection and balans. I LOVE your videos and am still catching up on all the previous ones. Please lovely Gayle don't let them get to you, you show us and especially the newbies that it's more important to have fun in what we want to create rather then surching for the perfection of it. So THANK you for being YOU

I love it when you play. You’re helping me keep my crafting fun instead of deadly serious. The fun comes in little surprises because I’ve tried something new and different than I’d normally do. Even the pieces I’m not thrilled about I’ve learned to tear up for collage and if I don’t like it then it’s just paper and I can throw it away. Arty Maze taught me that gesso is my friend. I use it often to camouflage parts I don’t care for.

Dearest Gayle - You *are* an expert, in inspiring others. Not only do you have wonderful ideas, your joy in crafting and your lack of perfectionism makes us feel like we *can* try something, and if it doesn’t turn out exactly as we wanted, that’s okay too. For most of my life I have felt intimidated by artistic endeavors, thinking the end result wouldn’t be good enough. Since I’ve been watching you that attitude has been changing. I’ve decided that I too can just play - enjoying the creative process without worrying about anything but having fun. 😁. There are many experts in individual crafts, but very few people who can communicate the joy of creativity like you. Much love and gratitude. 🥰

Gayle I have personaly learned so much from you over the past two years. There are times where I thought my way was better, but I often learned the hard way why you do things the way that you do them. No one is an expert. Some people hold more knowledge in some areas then others,, but only God is an expert. We are all always learning new things every day. I enjoy your channel. Your channel is one of my favorites. Please don't let the negative comments get to you. Often times someone who is being negative has alot going on in their life that they can't control, and every little thing is setting them off. Remember it's not you. You, and the way you do things is not the problem. There is much more going on in a persons life when a crafting video sets them off. There are so many of us that love you Gayle! Hugs, hugs, and more tight hugs. ❤

I love my stencils. I make my own acrylic sprays with alcohol ink drops, rubbing alcohol, some drops of acrylic paint, old dried out sharpies, etc. I use what I have mixed with rubbing alcohol. I rarely use anything for its "intended purpose" in the craft room. My coworkers are starting to learn I use things strangely. I also use scraps of lace and doilies as stencils. Try mixing some coffee in a spray bottle too...fun times.

Hi Gayle! There was only one perfect person and we are not him. I love your "play" videos! I like to think of Amish quilts when I think of perfection in art/craft, "to be perfect would be too boastful" and consider my imperfect art as my humility blocks. It makes me sad to think that there are people in this world that can only find joy by tearing others down. It's so easy for us to say, "Chin up, Gayle! We still love you!" Words truly can be mightier than the sword and can cut deeply into the joy that our art gives us. I've said it before and I'll say it again: You are PERFECTLY imperfect! Gayle, I've never commented on any of your videos, but I watch you all the time! I just had to comment on this one! 😊 Your joy, and your kind heart are so apparent in every word you speak and in everything you do! Your love for your family, and your Subbies, and of art and all things crafty, are very apparent in everything you say and do!!! And for anyone out there who has complained, critiqued or just felt the need to comment in their own opinion about what you do, well, I pray for them, because they're just being opinionated, sad and taking themselves way too seriously! If they can't see what a beautiful person you are and what a fun and gifted crafter you are, and also how courageous you and so many others are, who get on here and put yourselves and your art out there for all the world to see, if they can't just enjoy it and admire and appreciate you, then that's all on them!!! They need to just turn off the video and keep their ugly words to themselves! One of the biggest reasons I watch you and others like you is because you don't make me feel like I have to be technical in every little aspect of what I do. I love your imagination and creativity! It gives us all that same freedom to have fun and be spontaneous with our art!! Thank you so much for all the times you've taught me something new! I appreciate you Gayle, much thanks and so much love!!! 😘

Thank you for the fun experience today Gayle. The stencil painting is a great idea and really economical; just right for me. I have a batch of acrylic paints and paper ready to go. This video was really motivational. Just a side note. It is funny about the baby wipes. I have seen almost every journal maker using them; something I never would have thought of using for this purpose. Now I am thinking that people who make journals should buy shares in the companies manufacturing them. A good investment I think.

Huge thanks for featuring me stencils again! I love watching how you make everything! There’s something about the way that dyed paper crunches that really does it for me, LOL. And it’s so pretty as a base for stenciling! I’ve got many more goodies in the works and can’t wait to get them in your crafty, beautiful hands!! Sooooon!

Hi dear Cathe! Oh how I love your stencils!! The paper with the grey paint and your stencil….swoon!! I need to make a stack more with different stencils and colors. So fun!! You, my friend, are my creative hero! You’re even more of a creative energizer bunny than I am. We do have a good time, don’t we? Sending love and hugs to you, dear one! 🤗❤️

I loved this video, I have been wondering how those papers are made. I can't wait to order some stencils and play. I have to tell you that I enjoy your videos so much, even if what you are crafting isn't something I am interested in that day, I listen to you talk while I play with something else. My sister who is just 66 has Alzheimers and is losing her ability to say very much but when she was able to speak she would say "anywho" all the time. When I hear you say that on your video's it makes me so happy, it is like she is talking to me again. Don't let cranky people take your joy, they aren't important. You bring joy to many of us. Thank you for all you do.

Thank you so much, Sheryl! I’ve had that experience too. Gina at The Firefly Studio69…her voice sounded just like my sister’s. It gave me a lot of joy to listen to her and comfort after my sister passed away. Big hugs to you and to your sweet sister. 🤗🤗❤️

Love what your doing. I think it will be beautiful in a journal. They will make great pages or torn as embellishments on a tag or journal card. To the negative folks just say a prayer for them. What they don’t realize is your giving us all a gift of your time and talents. Never look a gift giver in any way but a positive way. You are such a “kind” person. We love you and your gift of sharing. Thank you 😊

How fun! I love how beautifully your play/fun came out! You go girl and say it like it is! It is your play and you do it how you like it, no one should ever tell any artist/creator how they should do something unless they are asked specifically for their opinion. All art and play is subjective. I need to try this painting on coffee dyed paper, I need some more fun! Love and hugs! ❤️🤗❤️🤗

But you ARE an expert; an expert in the GAYLE WAY! We are each expert in our own way and that's what journal-making is all about. That is why I love these vids where you take what someone else has done - hopefully, someone we haven't seen/heard of/been done by dozens of others before - and make it yours. I loved, too, those older vids where you tried to figure out an embellishment someone else had done and do it yourself. Guess that was more in the old Gayle Mail days because you received so many random things to try.

Hello Gayle, I am glad that you are enjoying what you are doing. I loved what you did with the paper today. That gives me some ideas. I wish I had done more when I was out sick last week with COVID, but I plan on putting some of the stuff I saw on your channel to good use. You are such a nice and lovely person.

These paper's are gorgeous! I've got them bookmarked so I can go back to it later and play! It's Rachel's (Roxy) washi police again. Please don't get discouraged! Most of us love and appreciate you sharing your process. You don't have to and lord knows we're just learning and if someone out there thinks they know it all get your own channel or learn yourself so you can stop being jealous! It's not a good look!
