i enjoyed rewatching this today. i've made a stack of fabric collages on 4" squares of felt. they will be embellishments on a vest.

love the vibe. as someone who definitely scans some prints, i love my hp envy (and the ink plan is also nice! never worry about having ink!!) sometimes the prints feel a little flat, but often they're great for collage. another thing I do sometimes is take pictures of paintings with my phone and then print them out for collage! i love remixing my work into new things and collages like yours would be great for that! (i think some of your gel printed papers would make great printables for collage) i always love listening to you work while i'm working. the creative vibe of working at the same time is so nice and i feel inspired by your palettes and shapes when i feel stuck. my partner definitely tells me "ketchup and mustard" when i mix red and yellow, and makes "america!!!" jokes when red blue and white are used close together so i feel you on the mc donalds & patriotic comments haha. someday i'll catch you live and put my words in the chat instead of a long ol' comment after the fact. i finally got some color shapers (between you and a couple other artists, i got pretty hype about the concept) and i love them!! they should sponsor you lol!!! I never thought about using them for glue application, though, for collage.....I usually use a princeton catalyst polytip for applying gel medium for collage (rec'd by elizabeth st. hilaire) and they work great, but watching you use that color shaper for it........💡

I love your geli prints! I have tried a few times to make some...it is a bit harder than I was expecting. But I do like the more unexpected ones...like with left over paint mixing with other paint. When I "try" to make something specific doesn't really work out! They are super interesting though. As I am thinking about this, I am wondering how you feel about watercolor? I almost feel like you might like the more potential of randomness of it?? I know it has taken me a bit of trial and error with them...but I do find it satisfying to watch colors bleed together and see what the end product reveals!

I loved watching your process! I'm going to try this next 'sit down' in the craft room. I've not found the perfect adhesive, have you used Nori paste? If so, thoughts?

Hi Jackie. This is the 2nd video of yours that I've watched and I've enjoyed them both. I got some good tips from you that I'll use with my own art making. One thing I'd like to ask...are you able to turn up the volume on your microphone? In both videos, I had a bit of a hard time hearing everything you said.
