You need to use a clear embossing powder over the black to make it look like black ice . Love , love , love the blackout technique .

Beautiful cards. Love the sunflower card. I think the black ice technique usually involves clear embossing powder as well as the black ink. 🥰

I made a Black ice Christmas card, it was flat gold mirror, i did not use clear embossing powder on it, it turned out lovly on one on my Lives, everyone liked it ! The flower reverse is awesome, love that idea :)

Fantastic techniques Sam, and your cards all turned out wonderfully! 3D embossing folders are really amazing. If you use a lot of water or other "wet" medium on 3D embossed paper, you can always put the finished paper back in the embossing folder - it's rather easy to get the paper to nestle back into the previously embossed images - and you can re-run the folder through your die cutting machine and it will "refresh" your embossed paper.

Love this video! I’ve only just come across inking so will take some tips from you. Do you have a video on how you make the words or hearts shiny? I think you call it glossy accents. TIA xx
