Another beautiful card, Sam, Thank you. Just an idea but the springs can be made from one piece of card 1.5" by 10", scored and then cut into ten 1" strips.

9 hours later - I've of course done lots of other things, but my main achievement is: I made this card! I created it for a new colleague and already-friend who will have a birthday on April 30th. So glad this idea came along, the result is quite stunning. I used foiling, too - all the works! If I was to change anything next time, it would be cutting the sentiment support mechanism from the same paper as the front topper panels - or color them, something along than line. I wanted the front sentiment & adornments to be narrow (as per instructions), but the mechanism is standing out. Not much, the receiver will not notice. But that's how we are! Thanks again for creating this card, I don't think I've ever seen this before, and for providing us with measurements to play with.
