Which drum do you find most difficult to consistently dial in?

Getting a perfect floor Tom with the perfect amount of sustain but at the same time not to long, it’s tricky for me to adjust the gate on a floor tom

Definitely snare lol. I can get a low, thick, phat, snare used for contemporary worship, but cant seem to EQ a high tuned snare

@@soundfreak8892 yes, I’m always fighting with the Floor Tom. The noise gate and comp are my best friends but it’s still quite a challenge.

@@carlosdiaz5486 is say for me snare is the easiest to get a good eq, comp and gate. But mic placement is everything and also take into consideration what mic you are using.

I think they stopped because context is everything. Further processing the kick drum without listening to or dialing in other channels in the mix might complicate the mix of the kick.
