In this tutorial, John demonstrates how you can use Utrecht Artists’ Oils in a limited palette to create an incredible variety of greens without ever opening up a tube of green paint. Particularly useful for plein air and landscape painting, this technique will enhance your understanding of the nuances of just one color while helping you make the most of your palette.

Excellent exercise in color matching. May I recommend viewing your work in different light sources. If you're painting under a single light source say in your basement. Take it up and look at it under daylight. Especially if you are mixing complementary colors like green and red. You may be surprised (maybe unpleasantly) at your result
