Great video. This is really helpful for beginners to have a clear starting point of knowing what to look for and why. It's also good for someone with many years of experience like myself. As someone else mentioned getting it right at the source is an obvious prerequisite and it should also be noted that what is shown in the video is a good starting point because every setup and every guitar will be slightly different and may require a slightly different alteration due to its specific characteristics and needs for the desired outcome in the mix. very nice video and advice! I had no idea you can cut off so much of the high end all the way to the 5khz and still maintain the bite/presence. I am running an engl savage mkii through a load box into IRs and its been tough to tame the high end to not be harsh but still sound organic and refined.
